We come here all the time for the sushi and sashimi because it's close from home. The place is always busy, but worth the wait. Sushi and sashimi are fresh and generously cut unlike some other cheap sushi places. The udon and ramen have very nice and tasty broths. The price are also average and not too expensive considering the generous servings. We will keep coming back here :) View all feedback.
What Manfredi Costantini doesn't like about Kintaro Sushi Train:
Just average quality sushi for a quick bite. Like most of the small sushi shops it employs or even is owned by Chinese speaking people which explains why it doesn't taste authentic Japanese. Unlikely to return. View all feedback.
This place is a contradiction if ever I thought of one. On the one hand the sushi and hot dishes are the best you could ever hope to get at a train sushi place, pretty much outdoing all others. The sushi is fresh , generous and prepared beautifully, and the hot dishes are up there with Japanese fine dining, but there are some problems, some very frustrating ones. Firstly to say the service here is unenthusiastic is an understatement. Get ready to wait forever (actually it never happens) for a waitress to come to take any kind of order from you, especially drinks. You need to stick your hand up or walk to the drinks counter. It 's the same for any dishes you want that are not on...read more
read moreI saw this place few weeks ago and I wanted to try it out. It looks clean and well organised. I love Japanese food and I always order Takoyaki; probably, it's my point of comparison between Japanese restaurants. Over here, it wasn't really good, fresh, but with no flavour at all. Same thing happened with some Udon noodles and chicken Katsu that I ordered. I also order some Nigiri, it was definitely best dish of my order, tasty and good size. All portions are good size and pretty well presented. The service was fast and food took just a couple of mins to hit the table. Not really sure about weekends, but today it was quick; of course, I went after 8pm. I think I won't be back.

read moreThis is an average sushi train. There is a lack customer service which is extremely noticeable if you want to order anything off the menu or additional drinks. You will struggle to get staff attention to order. Size of soup udons/ramen are good. Warning that the udon stock is overly sweet though. We do love the vegetable tempura udon. A good selection of vegetables and the tempura is nice and crispy. Sushi sashimi is moderate quality. The quality of their seafood isn't the best. They have a few different salad choices which is nice. Otherwise the standard sushi and hot meals are overall alright. The spicy fried chicken was delicious and good serving size.
