This used to be a great place but the owner seems to have lost interest and is cruising on past glories. The food was previously fresh and served with great panache. Now it is a sad skeleton of its past fame. Very rude staff and owner is either drunk or trying to get of wirh FEMALE companions even although his wife is sitting near. This is a chiringuito restaurant in the carihuela, where you eat a fish of the best quality. is taken by the owner, joaquín and his son josé. is at the end of the walk next to the rock that separates it from the bass. the agreement is familiar, with the front of the sea and as a company the seagulls, nor what to say that besides the location the fish are of the very high quality.
Had a stunning lunch. Great fresh food. Wonderful service This is a lovely authentic Spanish restaurant. Do not miss it.
This is one of the oldest “Chiringuitos” in la costa del sol. They were two brothers with two restaurants side by side but the other one was closed some years ago. The spetos and the conchas finas are still memorable in one of the best spots in Torremolinos and once your lunch is over you, the best thing you can do is to have a good siesta at the beach club.
Stumbled upon this little beachside restaurant on a walk from Torremolinos to escape the hussle and bussle of the town. This restaurant which is situated in a peaceful corner of the beautiful beach, offered excellent service from all the staff, who could not do enough for their customers The food certainly did not disappoint. All of the ingredients were fresh and extremely delicious. Will certainly return when next in the area.
The Costa Del Sol is justifiably famous for its innumerable Chiringuito's dotted along the promenade and La Coquina is a particular favourite of mine. Located facing the beautiful Playa De La Carihuela, this is one great looking Chiringuito, a neat and tidy interior, lovely decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this Chiringuito both inside and outside looking out over to the wonderful Mediterranean Sea. We were here on a Sunday afternoon, temperatures were hitting the 30 degrees plus mark, we got seats near the bar were a very pleasant member of staff served us a beer each,we opted to have that most Spanish of beers namely San Miguel beer, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and as we were feeling peckish we ordered a plate of grilled sardines each served with bread, the sardines were grilled to perfection and seasoned beautifully, absolutely delicious, bread was also fresh and crunchy, went with our beers so well. We really enjoyed our sardines and beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. La Coquina is easy to locate along Costa De La Carihuela. A great Chiringuito, well worth checking out if your in the area.
