Feedback
This is a lovely restaurant hidden away in a back street of Torre Pacheco, but well worth searching out. You wouldn’t know it was there unless you went specifically – it looks nothing much from the outside but is large and well decorated inside. It’s very close to the Mar Menor golf resort and there’s lots of easy street parking – much cheaper and far better food than the restaurants on site at Mar Menor, and closer and easier for parking than Los Alcazares. There is a nicely furnished terrace so don't be put off if the front of the restaurant is closed there is an entrance through the terrace fence. The menu provides a good balance of Italian staples (pizza, pasta and meats) plus some seafood, as well as traditional Spanish starters and puddings. The staff were attentive and friendly and all our dishes were excellent (pizzas were very tasty, ravioli with goats cheese and sobrosada was superb, and they managed to make what could have been a mundane spaghetti bolognese into something very special – be prepared for lots of cheese grilled on top). The puddings (chocolate lava cake with ice cream and cream, and some sort of chocolate mousse cake) were also delicious. The menu is only in Spanish, but the staff were very helpful and some spoke excellent English (though we did try to stick manly to Spanish). A meal for 4 with drinks (4 main courses and 2 shared puddings) came to about €60 which we felt was very good value for excellent food. Note that the ambience improves after about 9/9.30pm as Spanish families come to dine it can be empty when the restaurant opens at 8.
