The emphasis is on the ‘ish’; if you need exact times fo... read more Contrary to the website, which states food is served from 2pm on Fridays, it is actually 3pm-8pm (ish). The emphasis is on the ‘ish’; if you need exact times for your meal you probably shouldn’t be in Cornwall. Once the food service started I had battered cod, chips and peas for £14. The food was well cooked, the batter was light, chips were crisp and the piece of fish was twice the size of what you get at a nearby chip shop. The owners were friendly, the pub and the locals have character and the facilities (camp site, shop, beer garden) all combine to make this a great place to visit. With original low beams in the pub you can expect to bang your head at least once if you are taller than 5’8”!
