Xawaash offers a unique blend of Somali and Middle Eastern cuisine. While some customers were disappointed by the food quality, slow service, and unkept interiors, others raved about the flavorful dishes and generous portions. The falafel, goat chops, and dessert received particular praise. The diverse menu offers something for everyone, with standout dishes like kofta, shawarma, and delicious Somali tea. Family-run, Xawaash aims to provide a warm and welcoming dining experience, although improvements in service and consistency are needed. Despite mixed reviews, it is a popular choice for those looking to explore new flavors in Toronto.

I ordered the falafel and hummus platter. Flavours were excellent. Portion size was great. Good value for what you pay. Lots of vegetarian options on the menu. Atmosphere presents as clean and inviting. A place you would want to sit and stay for awhile. I would not hesitate to return to this restaurant it’s well worth the visit.Vegetarian options: Falafels, hummus, vegan stews, salads, lentil soup, rice, fries, potatoes, pasta dishes, cheese pie, bread, pita wrapsKid friendliness: An alcohol free environment. Lots of space in between guests, particularly when it’s not busy. Booths for containing little ones.Parking: Lots of free parking availableWheelchair accessibility: No stairs to negotiate when getting into the restaurant. I did not use the washrooms so not sure if there are stairs to access that.Dietary restrictions: Serving halal and vegetarian and vegan options

Honestly I will never come back here. Ordered beef steak and rice for 22 dollars and got 2 haf small pieces also got goat meat with rice didn't taste good also small. I never write reviews but this place is the worst somali restaurant I been too. Bill was 54 dollars for nothing. Also no manager there to talk to. I promise I will never come back even people I was with will not. ?

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend from Somalia, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Chicken Kofta and Chicken Kebab with Rice, as well as Fried Chicken Legs with Rice. The rice was so tasty that I could eat it alone without any other dishes. The Chicken Kofta and Chicken Kebab were both well-cooked and perfectly toasted. However, the fried chicken legs were a bit too oily for my liking. Personally, I do not enjoy fried chicken legs, but aside from that, I really enjoyed everything else about the meal. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

The food at this restaurant is very good and the service is friendly. The lamb is delicious and well-priced. However, I had an issue with the coffee cup lids not fitting tightly, which resulted in me spilling hot coffee on myself multiple times. Be cautious of this!
