We had a great time there. The food was excellent, I’ve enjoyed the seafood pasta with White wine sauce twice and both times were exceptional. Damian made sure our evening was fun, took the time to chat and even introduced us to the chef! We shall go back again, for a third time in two weeks! View all feedback.
What Tempoman doesn't like about Vaticano Italian Restaurant:
We were out for dinner with friends and family. The place was not busy except for another table and a group on the next level down. The service was friendly but slow probably because the single person had to look after the group as well. A number of us ordered the veal Marsella and when it came to the table it was like eating shoe leather with a nice sauce. The vegetables were also cold even though there was a nice s... Superb! We indulged in the spaghetti, the pizza, and the veal. Whoever would have expected for every dish to have been made perfectly, It left us wanting more! Their patio is decorated in a tasteful manner, adding to the dining experience the feeling of being amongst class. And judging from the pictures of all the celebrities who dine there, it is a feeling that is justified. Quality, value and service . A perfect dining experience!
Very friendly serving staff. Place is not too loud and the food is great. Went with a friend who is Italian and she really liked the food. Says a lot!
The best Italian Pasta in Yorkville!!! I ordered the Fetticini alfredo with chicken and mushrooms, which was a bit expensive more than other similar restaurants in Yorkville. However, the pasta was homemade thinner than usual, and more delicate, as it is truly Italian-made in Yorkville. Felice is the absolute best Italian Chef in Yorkville!!! An absolute must-visit Italian true authentic restaurant in Yorkville! You can thank me later.
Located in Yorkville, Vaticano would seem like a safe bet where to enjoy a good night and semi-authentic Italian food. Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the truth. The service was prolonged and disorganized despite the restaurant being at less than 50% capacity. We ordered three items, and after about 1 hour, they realized they had forgotten 1 item. The food is below average and overpriced. It pains me to say this, but Pizza Pizza, which in my humble opinion, sells the worst fast food pizza in town, prepares better quality pizzas than Vaticano.
I've been to Vaticano many times and each time, the food and atmosphere did not disappoint! Well chosen music complements the Italian and romantic vibe. Highly recommend any of the pastas the seafood pasta in a white wine sauce is probably my favourite. Also highly recommend the tiramisu which is made in house according to the chef's family recipe straight from Rome!
