Vannis - Toronto

I dined at this restaurant for dinner on Saturday during Mother's Day weekend. We arrived at 6pm, but our food was not served until 6:25pm and we did not receive any water. One person in our group got their food 10 minutes before the rest of us, which was not acceptable. When I raised the issue with the manager, she attributed the slow service and food mix-up to a new server, which surprised me. It was a busy night, but only 4 out of 10 tables were occupied along with the bar. We were not offered any compensation and left feeling very disappointed. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The restaurant offers fantastic food and excellent service. If you're craving delicious Italian comfort food, make sure to try their veal - it's the best in town.

Ordered a dish that I have enjoyed numerous times, decided to order for takeout and upon returning home and opening the box, I was rather upset as the portion was literally 1/3rd of the size, it was so small that the food covered only the centre and the rest was just bare plastic. This has happened to me previously ordering the brunello pasta and after having it several times, it was delivered to me 1/2 of the size. This restaurant doesn't care about consistency nor customer feedback. Unfortunately Not recommended

I ordered the Fettucini Alfredo with mushrooms added. The portion was very good especially since I opted for the platter. The Alfredo was greasy however and lacked seasonings. I had to season myself here. The calamari was decent. The mushroom crustini is ok but found to be very greasy, almost soaking in oil.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. As an Italian food lover, I always look forward to our dinner here. We celebrate many special occasions here! The service is fanastic and the food is delicious. Never can go wrong!
