What User doesn't like about Uncle Betty's Diner:
1. Waited over an hour to be seated! That would have been fine if that's how long they told us the wait was but they told us 20 minutes! 2. After being seated waited forever for drink and food orders to be taken. 3. Food took another hour to arrive4. Food was subpar at bestThere is no organization in there - it is complete chaos.Definitely a waste of time and money... won't be going back.
Uncle Betty's is a cute little restaurant a little north of Yonge and Eglinton. They are known for their donuts so I had to make sure I tried that. I ordered the oreo donut and cinnamon sugar donut. They were good but a little dense for my taste. I prefer light and airy donuts but the flavor was there none the less. The eggs Benedict was much better on a donut rather than a traditional English muffin absolutely delicious. It gets quite busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait. The table next to us ordered pancakes they looked super light and fluffy must try next time. Overall a solid brunch experience!
I went there yesterday with a couple of friends for the first time. The food was great and we had such friendly service. The owner kept checking in on us to see if we were happy with the food and all. He treated us to the great tasting lemon meringue ice-cream and their famous traditional donuts.<br/ <br/ The deco is also comforting and cute. Really liked the place and service. Check it out!
Thumbs up for both food and customer service there. Uncle Betty's doesn't take reservation for brunches but the waiting time wasn't too bad. We had egg Benedict on donuts and ricotta blueberries stuffed french toast. They were delicious!! Definitely check it out if you are in mid town.
A friend recommended me to this place when I went to Toronto and I absolutely fell in love with it. The interior feels like you stepped into an artists workshop, and invited me in with joy and awe,<br/ <br/ When I go to diners with someone, I usually order something simple while my guest orders something either more complex or takes more time to make so we can get the full experience. I order a simple breakfast with eggs and sausage. Its kinda easy to mess up sausage, but these guys have made some of the best breakfast sausage I've ever tried. Their nachos are really good too. <br/ <br/ Highly recommend this joint to everyone.
I've been going to Uncle Betty's frequently for the last few years and have always had a positive experience. My husband and I always go for brunch so I can't comment on lunch/dinner options. The big breakfast is our usual order as it has a bit of everything and we normally get a few donuts to go so that we can savour them later when we aren't as full. Be prepared for a bit of a line on the weekends!
