The food, mainly European dishes, receives mixed reviews, with some finding it delicious and others suggesting improvements. The tight seating is a downside for some, but the overall experience is praised for its excellent service and great ambiance. Whether enjoying a meal with friends or grabbing a drink at the bar, this pub is a popular spot in Toronto. So, if you're looking for a lively place to unwind with a diverse beer selection, the Town Crier is worth a visit.
The food, service, and patio ambiance are very good, but the selection of beers is just fantastic! If you enjoy a finely crafted beer such as an authentic Belgian Trappiste, then this is the place for you. I would definitely return!
My daughter told me this was one of her favorite spots. It's easy to see why. If you are a beer person, you will enjoy the wide variety of options from all over the world. While I did not eat, the wife did and really liked their poutine. Supposedly there is Karaoke upstairs.
While on vacation in Toronto and checking out the town, by coincidence we sat down here. Although there indeed were small tables we had Belgian beef stew as if we were home. Furthermore they have some of the best Belgian beers available here, even Westvleteren which even in our own country is very hard to come by.
What a selection of beer! Everyone in our group found a beer to their liking. The stew was amazing!! Husband had the vegetarian spaetzle and said it was a unique way to serve this dish, normally served with cheese and onion. Would eat here again and again.
I had an amazing evening at the Town Crier Pub. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the selection of European beers is impressive. It's the perfect place to have a nice dinner with your friends in a cosy atmosphere.
