Contribute FeedbackTHR is a beloved spot in Toronto for many diners, offering excellent food and service in a chic and cozy atmosphere. While some patrons noted uneven service and noise levels, the majority praised the delicious food offerings, friendly staff, and thoughtful touches like attentive managers and clean facilities. From tasty salads and rotisserie chicken to inventive dishes like gnudi and shrimp with grits, THR provides a unique dining experience that sets it apart from other fast food options. Despite occasional lapses in consistency, the majority of customers express loyalty to this welcoming establishment, where each visit promises flavorful meals and memorable dining experiences.
THR is one of my favourite spots. Every time I eat there I am happy with the tastiness of the food and the technique of the chefs. The last time I had gnudi to start and they were lighter and fluffier than any I 've had at other restos. I had grits and shrimp for a main and it was flavourful. I stuck to wine for 'dessert ' although the pineapple cake sounded tempting (other option brownie). In the past I 've had beef heart tartare (amazing) and fish (simple, healthy and enjoyable). It 's a fairly large restaurant but it 's cozier, quieter and the service is better than most bistros. They also have a large patio.
Enjoyed our dinner. Food was good, service fast and pleasant. Quite noisy so next time will ask for a corner table. We were a group of 4 women trying to catch up and celebrate a birthday. A bit hard to hear each other but didn't stop us lol!
Can't really complain about the food. The prices have increased quite a bit which is a bit of a drawback and don't return often. Most recent visit was very poor service. The manager (? - seemed like she was the person in charge) was running around looking a bit overwhelmed and out of place. No apologies for tardy service. Mostly just rude staff. But it was quite busy so I guess they don't really care about losing a few customers. If you don't mind poor service in exchange for high priced decent food, then go. Otherwise, check out other great spots on this strip or nearby.
How can you screw up BBQ chicken? Not sure but Flock did it; poor service, poor food, even the wine was weak; oh yeah and to top it off swarming wasps on the patio greeting you
The waitress was super friendly and accommodating as we had reserved an indoor table but, due to the lovely warm weather, the six of us decided to sit outdoors on the patio. We started by ordering the three starter dips. Those were relatively tasty, served with crispy crackers and a few fresh veggies. The main order, the salads (we each tried a different one, just for variety and sharing purpose) were tasteless and bland and no one in our party managed to finish the half portions that we ordered. I added chicken. Bland, shredded, tasteless chicken which added nothing exciting to my salad. Half way through eating I realized that I was simply not enjoying the food. Looking around at the others at my table, I saw half eaten bowls being removed by our friendly waitress. " How did you enjoy the food?" she asked, hopefully.I simply didn't have the heart to elaborate. I know this though, that restaurant has been scratched off my recommendation list and I won't be visiting again.
