The Roof At Soco - Toronto

Poor guest service. Due to weather condition, they informed us the kitchen will close in 30 min. They know it’s cold but didn’t serve us seat near the firepit and we requested a firepit seat. After we settled down and had few sip of our drink, a staff brought a group of 3 new customers and asked us to seat with us in our couch firepit table. We quite didn’t understand since the restaurant was near empty. There were only 5 groups of customers including us and at least 3 couch firepit empty tables left for new customers. We didn’t quite understand why the staff asked for us to seat with total strangers. We felt ignored, not well serviced, and felt disrespectful. We didn’t want to stay there anymore. Very poor service.

Great experience, yummy drinks and nice views!!! Perfect before a jays game

First time visiting Roof at SOCO tonight as my friend suggested this place. Let's Start with the positives, personable service by our waitress, stunning rooftop view and nice crowd. The not so positives 1) limited food options which mainly consist of seafood apps and salad. We ordered the mean pork belly bao which my friend raved about and when it came out, we received 2 buns with 2 pieces of fatty pork belly meat..gross I know! $20 for fatty meat, wasn't impressed at all. To the manager and cook, check the cut of meat and serving before serving that to customers. These could potentially be returning customers! Recommendations eat dinner before going there! 2) the drinks were a tad overpriced for the size we got. I've ordered the watermelon mojito, flavour wise I will say it's a 3.5/5. Overall, we had a great time and definitely worth the one time experience, however I don't think I will be returning!

I had low expectations, but the food was quite good. The bao sandwich and Miami ribs were excellent. Enjoyed being on the rooftop, with the view of the CN tower.

More beautiful place. could use a bit more menu points for snacking.
