However, customers praised the food quality, especially traditional British dishes. The atmosphere was noted as cozy and welcoming, with excellent drink options. The staff, although sometimes confused, was generally friendly and accommodating. Despite some minor issues, the majority of visitors left satisfied and promised to return. Overall, the establishment provided a taste of England in the heart of Toronto, earning praise for its authenticity and delicious offerings.
We had the best calamari we've had in years!. Stopped for a drink and a snack before the theatre, and wow! I've been raving about the calamari ever since. I also had a Summer G
We stopped in here a bit tired and thirsty from walking all over Toronto. I had perhaps the best gun and tonic of my life! Plus something on the menus called "toe rags", which we got for the name, but absolutely loved. Though three pieces were tough to share between a family of four. Lovely little spot, very English feel.
A place I would like to visit again. Very good ambience, service and food. All this at a decent price. The Shepherd Pie is really yummy and highly recommended. Cask ale served was another winner. All in all a good all rounded experience.
Chips are amazing. Beer and cider is great. On a cold winters night where would I want to be but here. and also on a warm summer evening
Stopped in for a quick drink before eating somewhere else...immediately felt comfortable in an honest English Country pub...no pool table, no jukebox blaring or beery louts. Greta atmosphere and a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. We liked it so much we went back after our meal...for a couple of nightcaps.
