This is a small shop on Bloor near Jane with friendly staff and a casual ambience. I've only tried two menu items, the haddock and chips, and the grilled salmon. Both are quite tasty and filling. You'll get a very generous serving of very good crisp chips, and a fairly large serving of fish. The batter for the haddock is very good, and the salmon was cooked properly. This restaurant was recommended but we were disappointed. It's quite small and the tables and chairs were packed together. We lined up at the front counter and ordered from a black board menu. The day we went they were out of halibut! We ordered cod & chips and cod tacos. The batter wasn't the best and the chips were over fried. The tacos weren't very flavourful. Customer service was lacking. We won't be back. View all feedback.

Fish is made to order, but wait times have always been efficient. They also have real malt vinegar, which is a must for this dish.Staff are friendly, and the cost is reasonable for what you get. Space is at a premium, with a limited number of tables, but there is also bench style seating along the side wall and at the window. Recommended when you want a quick meal and have a craving for this old British favourite.
Also visited in Nov 2016, had halibut & chips. Delicious! Yesterday I had the calamari & chips! Excellent! Calamari had a lovely very mildly spicy batter. Was not disappointed. Restaurant space is quaint & can get quite busy. Excellent staff, great service. Please go :)

We have been going there for quite a while and we find that the fish is very tasty. We like to order the seafood and fish basket because it has a bit of everything. Salads are great and fries are not my favourites at this place, but they are fine.My husband enjoys the fish tacos as well. One of the best fish and chips in the area, for sure!
Nothing fancy, just fabulous fish and chips. You pick the type of fish then select how you want it cooked. My usual choice is halibut with a little crispy batter and half salad, half chips. Fish always fresh, fries are like chip truck fries - the real deal. Salad is interesting with mixed greens, veg and a balsamic dressing. Favourite though is Wednesday's - lobster roll day!Excellent for a low priced lunch or dinner. Quick and efficient as you order and pay at counter then they bring you your meal when ready.
