Walked pass and decided to give it a try. Took advantage of its lunch special and the new lobster roll combo. The Captain's signature sauce goes really well with the seafood. The breaded fried fish was bad however. Generous amount of lobster on the roll. All in all good food for the price and great fun. Service was so-so. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Captain's Boil:
Our foods were served in plactic bags and we eat with plastic bib and plastic gloves. The City requires restaurants to install fat filter system in their dish washing and this restaurant does not have to as they use one-time plastic items. Foods are quite tasty but a little salty to me so I gave 3 stars for the freshness but my family was not impressed and may not come back. View all feedback.
Great spot! Delicious seafood at an affordable price. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, but it is best enjoyed when consumed immediately.
I had a great time at Captain's Boil. It was my first time trying seafood prepared this way. The dishes were fresh, tasty, and packed with flavor. Our group ordered a variety of dishes and sides. While it's a bit expensive, I believe it's because of the cost of seafood. I recommend trying it out for the unique experience, just be prepared to get a little messy!
We love eating at captain’s boil but last night is our worst experience. It’s our first time to this branch and we’re so excited. We ordered lobster bisque, shrimp and mussels combo with potato and corn cob with captain’s boil sauce, and extra rice. First we tried the lobster bisque, it taste so bad, it taste spoiled, then the seafood came the mussels are already spoiled too, you can smell it right away, the rice are like old rice and the potato too. We send back the lobster bisque and told them about the mussels, but they only gave us new mussels, how can we eat the shrimps and other stuff on the plastic bag when it is already contaminated with the spoiled mussels? We are so mad and told them we’re not gonna eat it anymore, they still want us to pay for the seafood that is already spoiled and we did not even finish it. This is the worst captain’s boil branch we’ve tried so far, the service is really bad too, they do not know what to do on those instances. Not gonna comeback to this branch!
The King Crab was $109 a pound and was awful! Very little meat and the shrimp was no throughly cooked. Definitely not worth the $190 price that we paid! Staff was nice though!
