The dining room provides an relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy very good food and drinks. They have a nice patio for the warm weather. What User doesn't like about The Black Dog Pub:
Am I expecting too much ? Small piece of meat (size of a postage stamp) with little bits of kidney, floating in a gravy swamp, covered with pastry ... is known as steak and kidney pie. And its only $18. I felt like giving a shout when I encountered the steak. Stick with the bangers and mash. View all feedback.
Last night, my husband and I had a fantastic dining experience at Black Dog Pub. The food was delicious - I ordered the cottage pie and my husband had the meatloaf. The wait staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and efficient. To top it off, when we mentioned it was our anniversary, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert - a mouthwatering hot toffee cake. Overall, it was a delightful dinner with all the extras.
We absolutely adore Black Dog! We have visited a few times and we are always pleased. When we needed a spot for our Thanksgiving party of 7, they happily accommodated us. The special Thanksgiving menu featured a delicious prime rib with a stunning Yorkshire pudding on top. If this is anything like their Sunday roasts, it's sure to be amazing. The service was fantastic, and we're thrilled to see Black Dog now on OpenTable. Thank you!
The Black Dog Pub is an excellent spot for family gatherings, which is why we visited. The food and service were both fantastic. We have visited before and will definitely return.
