Lovely experience. I loved that the plating happened in front of you. The food came out in a timely manner. The atmosphere was really nice. Also, I have a big appetite, and left very satisfied. The combination of textures, tastes, and even temperatures was awesome. I would recommend this place! Also, thank you for accommodating a gluten free diet! I decided to try Ten out for my birthday as I’ve never had a vegetable-forward fine dining experience before, or even been to a vegetable-forward restaurant. I also saw one of my classmates visiting this place, so I wanted to give it a try, especially with all the other subpar “meat” place experiences I’ve had before. I’m very happy with my experience. Despite basically having no meat, none of the dishes were boring; they were all innovative with their own special flavour profile. The price is kind of high though. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I came with my girlfriend for her special birthday and Ten did not disappoint. The food, service, wine, ambience, chef Julian, and entire staff made the evening an unforgettable experience. We had wine pairings with our ten course dinner. My gf is vegan so some of her plates were different, but for the most part, we both had the same dishes, and each was a wonderful surprise of flavours. And that they were vegetarian is even more impressive.Ten is unpretentious, luxurious, and not in the least bit elitist. It was great to see such a calm kitchen a small staff which included women and people of colour. In addition to the food, these were significant factors to our enjoyment of the evening. If you're looking for the same, then book a night here. It's definitely worth it.
This restaurant in Toronto is one of our top favorites! Each dish surpasses the next, and the wine pairing is both delightful and intriguing. However, what truly sets this place apart is its focus on utilizing local, seasonal vegetables. It takes a great deal of skill and imagination to consistently execute this concept so well.
