Absolutely amazing! I am of Filipino heritage on my mother's side, but it's hard to find authentic Filipino cuisine where I live in Maryland (USA) - so when I was in Toronto, I was eager to find some good Filipino cooking! Luckily, we stumbled upon Tala on our last night in town, and it was the perfect first restaurant experience. The kumayan that my fiancée and I shared was incredible! The presentation was impressive and it truly felt like an authentic Filipino food experience, reminiscent of family gatherings. The milkfish was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the rice was simple and satisfying, and we couldn't get enough. Despite not being big fans of squid, we enjoyed it in small bites. The okra, eggplant, pork belly, mussels... everything was fantastic and I have nothing but praise for it all! The staff was incredibly friendly and played a big role in making our experience so delightful - so thank you! Delicious and satisfying!

I had a wonderful experience trying home-cooked Filipino dishes at this restaurant! It completely hit the spot for my cravings. We opted for the kamayan kit with chicken and pork lumpia, and the kamayan had an amazing array of options while the pork lumpia was delicious. I will definitely come back to sample more items from the menu whenever I'm yearning for Filipino cuisine.

I ordered the kamayan feast on UberEats and I was extremely disappointed and upset. The portion size was very small and not worth the price. I have been to better Filipino restaurants. I would recommend avoiding ordering from here.
