The quality rivals what I experienced while living in Japan. The seafood is fresh and delicious, far exceeding anything you would find at a comparable price point in Toronto. The sushi rice is expertly prepared with just the right balance of tanginess.

Although not listed on the menu, the chef will gladly prepare it with their spicy mayo if you ask the staff. The small restaurant offers a cozy dining space with excellent service. The Tomoko special is served in three courses, each one more delicious than the last. Overall, this spot offers the best sushi at the best price in Toronto, and possibly in all of Canada. Just be prepared for the chef to be a bit behind schedule; if you have a specific pick-up time, it's best to request your order earlier. Despite any delays, the incredible food is well worth the wait and has been a hit among my foodie friends when I've brought it to dinner parties.
