I recently visited this store and was blown away by the level of customer service. The staff (KUSH) was incredibly friendly and helpful, and even went out of their way to help me find what I was looking for. I was also impressed by how quickly he were able to retrieve my forgotten credit card. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this store to others.
I’m usually a frequent customer at Subway and have always enjoyed the convenience and consistency. However, my experience today was very disappointing and made me feel quite frustrated. When I arrived around 11:45 AM, I saw a male staff member seemingly trying to fix the cash register. Without looking up, he asked me what I wanted to order. I told him I’d like a Great Canadian Club sandwich on toasted Italian Herbs and Cheese bread. After a while, he came over to the prep area and told me that the bread I wanted was unavailable and asked if I was okay with another option. I said yes. Then, he asked me what I wanted on the sandwich—even though I had already specified my order. I reminded him again of the menu item I chose. When it came to sauces, I asked for mayonnaise, sweet onion, and BBQ sauce. He replied that BBQ sauce wasn’t available and proceeded to pack the sandwich without asking if I wanted a substitute. I had to speak up and said, “Why is everything out of stock today?” That’s when he admitted they actually did have BBQ sauce but hadn’t refilled it yet—he asked if I still wanted it, and I said yes. Only then did he go and refill it. Once the sandwich was ready, I had to wait a long time at the register because the machine was still not working. Throughout all of this, there was zero communication about the delay or any apology. I believe the staff should have informed me that the register was down and that I might need to wait, rather than keeping silent and making the experience even more frustrating. I strongly feel the staff at this location need better training in customer communication and preparation. These issues could have been avoided with just a bit of clarity and readiness.
