This traditional eatery has a storied past, evolving from a movie theatre to a lively rock bar before becoming a go-to spot for pub food, Indian cuisine, and wood fire pizza. While the indoor ambiance can be hit or miss, the patio is a great option for enjoying drinks and food. The menu offers a variety of tasty options with a focus on Indian dishes, though standard pub fare falls short. Friendly staff and a casual vibe make it a popular choice for locals, especially during the summer months. Overall, a solid choice for a relaxed meal or drinks.

Was Anonym at Stratengers a mag?
I have been coming here ever since I can remember. My parents always came to this restaurant and I continued to on my own as well. Always a great atmosphere, very affordable and great eats! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Stratengers:
I wouldn't recommend eating inside. We met friends for dinner and ate outside. The inside is sketchy at best (dark, damp, stinky pool hall). The food - can't even say it was good pub food. We had butter chicken which had an orange color to it. We ordered a chicken chile dish and it was hot but not a pleasant taste. The curry rice was almost florescent yellow. The wine was nice and cold. We love this place. Nice east end dive bar. Cheap eats, friendly staff. Great patio for the summer. Inside is a little stinky because of the wood fire pizza oven. Pool tables and arcade machines. Lots of TV's for watching sporting events.
