The inviting atmosphere complements the culinary experience, making it a suitable choice for both casual dining and special occasions. Incredible experience. A must try for omakase in Toronto. Obviously a different experience than the higher end options but definitely worth a try! I'll definitely be returning. View all feedback.

What Diane Sharpe dislikes about Shunoko:
Spidey (large 4 pc) 11.00 and beer can 8.00. Roll didnt come with anything else and it left me hungry. Would've been better to make it at least 6pc and charge a bit more or something. Roll wasn't special, but chirashi was. Expect to spend 50pp if you want to be full/satisfied.Walked in, hand sanitizer smelled bad, went to washroom to wash hand and washroom was too scented, and later saw washroom stall wo toilet paper... Had high expectations of this place given some recommendations and reviews online, also I was craving sushi but this point disappointed through and through.I ordered the nigiri set and an extra seared scallops roll. The sets come with soup and salad which were standard. The nigiri also came with a spicy tuna roll. Unfortunately the tuna is old and had a fishy garbage taste but they thought the spicy mayo on top would cover up the taste. The sushi rice itself was a bit on the harder side and they did not sure traditional Japanese sushi vinegar and added way too much so all the sushi was was extra sour. Only saving grace was the salmon and scallop pieces. Otherwise all other fish were watery. Didn't thaw enough and absorb liquid.Do not come here for authentic sushi. Ive never trusted Koreans making sushi and it's obvious why. Taking shortcuts all over the place. SKIP.

3rd time here but first time trying the omakase and it didn’t disappoint. Incredible variety of fish sources from Japan, PEI, and Portugal. The chefs expertise and skill is a pleasure to watch and he gave us plenty of nice complementary surprises for my birthday. Great value for this level of service and quality.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. We made a last-minute reservation and couldn't get the Omakase menu, but our server helped us find a similar option. The only downside was that we didn't receive the uni dish because of a mix-up with another table. Despite this, we have no other complaints and would absolutely come back again.
