Was Anonym at Sheherzade a mag?
I came to try this place out with my Persian-Canadian pal, and we were both impressed. I wouldn't know if it's good as Iranian food goes, but she sure did, and we all enjoyed it immensely. The service was great, the prices were more than fair, and the portions were gigantic. You really get a lot of food for your money, which I've noted for next time because I definitely want to go back. The atmosphere is great, with... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Sheherzade:
I think the ambiance, decor, music and service makes me want to try this restaurant again in the future. However, I would not try the same food again (i.e. the food was okay, but not spectacular enough for me to crave it for a second time). It is ideal for a group or a family meal. Also a great restaurant if you want to introduce culture to non-Iranians (esp because of ambiance and decor). The waitress was very polit... View all feedback.

The atmosphere is great, with lots of little details all over the place, and it was fun having someone there who could tell us more about what everything was. I can't remember the exact name of the chicken kebab I had, but suffice to say it was amazing.
A great culinary experience! A good place for a tasty meal with friends and family. The vibe is laid back and relaxed.
Visited on a Saturday night around 8pm with a group of 7 - got seated immediately. Originally planned on dining next door at Pomegranate restaurant but they were fully booked. Turns out to be a blessing in disguise as Sheherzade is amazing, and shares the same management as Pomegranate anyway! Also, the menu selection at Sheherzade ended up being more suited for our group - more grilled meat / kebab entrees! Atmosphere / Location: Small restaurant so definitely recommend making reservations. Fairly discreet along the hustle and bustle of College St., easy to miss, keep your eyes peeled! Inside is cozy, intimate, and tastefully designed with their cultural decorations throughout. Service: Very welcoming with smiles all around! Server was enthusiastic when informing us about the dishes. Excellent service. Food: Started with the "Kal Kabob" (first try) as I really enjoy "Mirza Ghasemi". Really delicious and not overly sweet. For the main, I love 'vaziri' so I ordered "Jujeh Kabob" (Chicken Leg portion) and added a skewer of "Kubideh" (mix of ground beef and lamb). So damn good! Grilled to perfection with the juices maintained. I ordered extra rice as the meat portions were very generous. While I was already stuffed from the main, I inquired about their dessert. The waiter described their ice-cream and our whole group came to an agreement that we had to try it. Rosewater, saffron, pistachio, cinnamon, pomegranate - probably missing other ingredients but wow, what a combination of flavours. The initial kick of rosewater can be overwhelming for those who don't typically eat it, but let it melt in your mouth a bit - savour and you'll taste other layers. It's a light dessert and can be shared by 2-3 people. Washed everything down with their tea, brewed in their samovar - excellent too, and non-dairy. Overall, took my Persian food dining to a whole new level! Didn't think I'd enjoy 'vaziri' any more than I already did, and I was proven wrong. Now I have a new gold standard. I will definitely be returning as my friend highly recommended their "Dizi", which sounded absolutely mouth-watering.
Wonderful! Great atmosphere and amazing food. None of us had ever tried Persian cuisine before and we were super impressed. The meat was cooked...
