Visited as part of a food crawl in Kensington Market. Came here to order the dole whip float but ended up with just the dole whip. It was tasty and reminded me of the Carribean. Looking forward to trying other things on their menu. View all feedback.
Pineapple whipped soft serve float is delicious. Supposedly an Mexican import. Unpretentious shop with good friendly staff. Try it!

We saw pictures of the pineapple juice floats on Trip Advisor and we had to try this place after getting tacos at their sister restaurant across the street. Those floats are some of THE most yummy desserts I have EVER eaten. Simple and fresh and...More
This was my first paleteria experience so I have nothing to compare it to, however, I will say I had higher expectations (possibly because seven lives has my favourite tacos). Either way they're still deliciously refreshing and we both enjoyed them.
I go to 7 Lives Tacos y Mariscos across the street all the time, but I had to stop by the paleteria to get my horchata and tostada with ceviche. I was surprised to see how much the price had gone up on the ceviche! It used to be $7 and now it's $10 for just the fish of the day and a whopping $13 if you want to add shrimp! There was always shrimp added in the old ceviche so I was surprised at the price difference! I guess this may be on par with other restaurants but I got used to the great price before :( I will say however that it is some of the best ceviche I have ever had- it's fresh tasting with a little kick and a zip of lime. I got a few coworkers addicted to this stuff. I also get my horchata here- I have never had authentic horchata but this one sure tastes good! I also finally tried the mangonada - they add chomoya I think it's called? It's a spicy red powder they top the drink with and you are supposed to drink it through a slightly spicy tamarind straw. The tamarind on the straw tasted a bit stale but other that that, this is an amazing drink if you like mango!
