It's a diverse journey through many types of cuisine and I think the team does a good job of elevating some typical restaurant fare with finesse and creativity. I was very fond of the latkes, the chopped salad, and the fried chicken was remarkably juicy (though I do think it could be crisper). The profiterole was a nice and nutty dessert with a hint of savouriness, which I liked. For the price of a Wednesday tasting menu, you can't get value like this in Toronto. I thought the service was unusually slow however. I was left waiting 20-30 minutes for dishes to be cleared, and the staff don't seem too attentive or aware when things need to be taken away. That is my biggest black mark on what was otherwise a solid meal.

To start the food is amazing. Every dish has its own unique flavour and was simply delicious. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing and would highly recommend. While the food was amazing, the service was even more incredible. I have never had service like this at any restaurant. It’s a bit of a long story but we had a reservation at Sara a couple of months ago. We had booked through open table, and through no fault of their own, something happened on the system that had cancelled our reservation without a message to us. Their restaurant was booked so they couldn’t accommodate and felt horrible. The manager gave us some apps and a drink while we figured out what to do (it was -30C outside). He told us to rebook and he would give us a wonderful dining experience. We rebooked for 2 months later and were so amazed when we walked in, the hostess remember us and the manager came right over to welcome us. They all remembered what had happened and made our evening simply the best. We were so impressed. The manager and his staff are so professional, friendly and welcoming. I really cannot say enough good things about them. We will definitely be back and recommend Sara to everyone.

We both tried things we either hadn’t tried or thought we didn’t like but we were pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed foods we didn’t know we could enjoy ! Beyond the exceptional food taste and quality the service was perfection! All in all Sara is a place we wouldn’t hesitate to return to again and again!!
