What Vigars Melbārdis doesn't like about Salmon Lovers:
The sushi and sashimi are ok at this place. The salmon is lean and the portions are good. This is a small place with seating for about 20 people and while the quality of the food may be ok, the interior, other than a view...onto Dundas Street, is of a messy interior and a kitchen that looks like its operating out of a trailer park. We decided to check it out since we both enjoy sushi. The restaurant is located across the street from the Art Gallery of Ontario and is a small casual restaurant. Your food is made to order so don't expect a quick eat and depart atmosphere. If you love salmon sushi and a relaxed atmosphere, Salmon Lovers is a great place for a taste of Japanese cuisine.
We really enjoy our lunch here) if you are not in a rush , and can wait around 30 min for your order, drinking tea listening to the nice music and having a nice chat , that is the perfect place for you)) place feel like Japanese home, stuff was really friendly and polite) and food was really tasty I would say definitely worth to wait for)))
The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy but very small with about 8 to 10 tables. The serviice was sub-par as each of our dishes came out at separate times for our table of seven as we waited an hour for our food. The food was delicious but be prepared to wait for a long time for your order.
Small restaurant, it's not fancy at all but the service is excellent and sushis are delicious! The price is good for the quality but it's not super cheap.

In many ways, this is truly authentic with many of the restaurants in Japan, but this is Dundas and University and Salmon Lovers is ready for a renovation or at least some order in the kitchen and some new menus. The current menus are layered with food and drink stains and kind of disgusting.Maybe its time for tablets.Might be better for takeout as patrons of this place probably already know.
