The staff is very friendly and the bread is delicious. The pastries are just average, but it is a good spot to get an affordable sandwich.

My favorite Portuguese bakery, Progress, has undergone some changes in recent years. They now accept credit card payments and offer a pumpkin spice latte, but at its core, it remains the same.

Friendly owner. Love their rye bread. Remember to finish in three days or put In freezer. I forgot to and it got bad : so sad. But yeah definitely recommended. They have all sorts of baked goods. Also chiffon cake which I have been searching for a while.

A swell Portuguese bakery with all the bread you could imagine. I dropped by to pick up a few buns and they were incredibly light and fluffy. They also offer a number of different desserts, coffee, and drinks. They have a few tables inside to sit down and eat at. A quick note: I am pretty sure they are cash only. They have an ATM in the bakery and it charges $1.50 to withdraw cash.
