Good quality ingredients from clean sources make for some really tasty eats. Food is perfectly seasoned, textures are great. Service is very good and attentive. Relaxed ambiance and inviting space, hence why I am always coming back to this location. View all feedback.
What Petra Kohler dislikes about Planta:
I’ve been before and like restaurant. This time tried their famous burger and fries. Did not disappoint. Portions are good but small compared to many places but this is not a bad thing. Too often there is an obscene amount of food which people eat just to finish. This was a nice size with lots of fries. Really enjoyed. View all feedback.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into Planta since I’m not vegetarian, and honestly I was a little hesitant. But my partner is vegetarian, and I’m always up for trying something new. I’m so glad I gave it a shot because this place blew me away. Here’s what we had: Aperol Spritz – 9/10 Super refreshing, well balanced, just hits the spot. Classic done right. Lychee tini – 10/10 Honestly one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while. Smooth, a little sweet, and so easy to sip. Firecracker Wings – 10/10 Absolutely amazing. Spicy, crispy, packed with flavor. I’ll be coming back for these alone. Spinach Artichoke Dip – 8/10 So creamy and flavorful, definitely comfort food level. Only thing I’d change is the chips. Would be even better with some warm bread instead. 1000 Layer Crispy Potatoes – 6/10 Cool idea but didn’t really wow me. They were okay, kind of just there compared to everything else. Japanese Sweet Potato Hand Roll – 9.5/10 Packed with flavor, nice texture, and super satisfying. This one really surprised me in the best way. Korean Chick’n Sandwich – 10/10 I couldn’t believe this wasn’t real chicken. Easily the best vegan burger I’ve ever had. Would order this again and again. Vodka Pizza (takeout) – 10/10 I’m still thinking about this pizza. Probably the best I’ve had, vegan or not. Unreal. Hugo Spritz – 9/10 My new favorite spritz. Light, fresh, floral. Ties with the Aperol for me now depending on my mood. Chocolate Brownie (Dessert) – 10/10 So rich and fudgy, the perfect finish. Absolutely delicious. We walked 14,000 steps after eating all of that, and honestly, I’d do it all over again without hesitation. If you're on the fence about plant based food, give Planta a shot. Even as a non vegetarian, I was seriously impressed. It’s not about missing meat, it’s about flavor; and they’ve nailed it. Price per person: $70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We visited this vegan restaurant for the all-you-can-eat maki at $29 and were pleasantly surprised. The food was enjoyable overall, and some of the dishes were so well executed they didn’t feel vegan at all—in the best way. The real standout of our visit was our server, Liv. She was doing it all—mixing drinks at the bar, taking care of our section, and even running food—all with a genuine smile and great energy. Her service truly made the experience memorable. The food here is exceptional and our host Natalie made our experience a one to remember. We visited here to celebrate a birthday and are so glad we came here! Natalie’s recommendations were spot on and we loved every single thing we ordered. We’ll be back here for sure! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was great! Ambience was spectacular and our waiter; Jeff was amazing. Overall, really wonderful experience.
I visited Planta, Yorkville 3 times during my stay in Toronto. The food and value are good. Grace was our server all three times this year, she is exceptional and the main reason we continued to return. Please thank Grace as she helped to make each visit memorable and an excellent dining experience.

Initially, the food at this restaurant was really good. However, during my most recent visit, I found that the quality had diminished compared to when they first opened.
I had a fantastic time at Planta in Yorkville. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are friendly, and the service is fast. I particularly enjoyed their innovative and delicious sushi, as well as their potato dish with caviar. The Caesar salad was exceptional and the white leek pizza was very tasty. The only downside was that the pasta portions were a bit small. I suggest making a reservation if you plan on visiting during the weekend as it tends to get busy. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in Toronto and craving a high-quality dining experience.
Beautiful spot, friendly server and AMAZING food. Got the appy, entree and cookie because it's a steal of a deal. The 1000 layer potatoes, bang bang broccoli, potato chorizo pizza and house burger were all amazing. Already can't wait to visit again!
Got the lunch deal with bang bang broccoli and chick’n waffles. Both were fantastic! I will say that between the two Planta locations in Toronto (this and Planta Queen), I preferred Planta Queen, which does more Asian fusion stuff. But you can’t go wrong with either. Service was also fantastic.

Amazing experience! Can’t have the pizza, but can have all the sushi rolls, and the salads!
Excellent vegan restaurant. The staff was knowledgeable, and confirmed both upon ordering and bringing the food what was gluten free. Most items on the menu can be made gluten free.
Staff guaranteed meals would be safe for celiacs. No gluten free menu but staff pointed out which items on menu were safe. Separate fryer for gluten free food. Pizza is not safe for celiacs. I’m a celiac and had no issues. Food was incredible! Can’t wait to go back
Great plant based options here, with many GF options! Cannot get the pizza because of the shared oven but there’s a dedicated fryer so no issues Re: fries. Some of their tempura fried stuff is with GF flours. I got the Thai lettuce wraps and partner got Planta burger with lettuce wrap. Waiters are very knowledgeable and helpful!! Went back and had the thai slaw.. soo good! However the waiter this time said the Planta burger was off limits. Not sure if they changed the recipe
Upscale vegan place. Very cute ambiance. Waiter walked me through the menu and showed me what could be made gluten free (it was most of the menu). He explained what procedures are in place to avoid cross contamination and that there is a dedicated fryer. So I give this place 5 stars in terms of safety. Unfortunately I thought the food was kinda bland and not flavourful enough. I had the cauliflower app and the lettuce wraps.

When I made a reservation and mentioned I'm celiac, the server prepared a marked-up menu that indicates the items I could order. I didn't even need to ask them for it. I've ate here a few times and all their staff are knowledgeable about answering questions and their processes to avoid cross contamination are good. They'll bring out a labelled gluten free soy sauce. They have a good array of options even though they don't have a separate menu.
Went to this trendy spot for lunch. The waitress confirmed I had a celiac allergy then promptly took my menu to mark it off. Split the Thai lettuce wraps, avocado tartare and mushroom salad. Lettuce wraps and mushroom salad were highlights as far as the flavors and textures. Avocado tartare needed a bit more flavor and the chips could have been heated or a little more salted to elevate the dish. Would def recommend this place for a healthy, plant based meal while in toronto
Waiters will mark out all the gluten free items for you. Been there twice and all has been well! Plus dedicated fryer! Also, food itself is great anyways!! Well worth the trip.
Food excellent! Service excellent! They know coeliac, they are reassuring. Loved it!
Staff guaranteed meals would be safe for celiac disease. No gluten-free menu, but the staff pointed out which items were safe on the menu. Separate frit for gluten-free food. Pizza is not safe for celiac disease. I'm a celiac and I didn't have any problems. Food was amazing! Can't wait to go back

Great. menu and delicious food. We were in Avery noisy part of the restaurant and it was hard to hear each other
The sushi is soo good. I am not vegan but I would say the vegan sushi is as good as the real thing. Also, been to other planta locations, and this is my favourite concept from
The space is beautiful and comfortable, and the food really good. We had the focaccia sandwich, which was massive (I recommend sharing it). The Vietnamese iced coffee was also really yummy. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. We were sat right by the entrance and told this was all that was available (even though many other tables were open the entire time we dined), and our server quite absent. Would definitely give them another go!
Liked this vegan restaurant. The sushi was amazing but forgot to take a photo, I recommend the dragon rolls. The july cavatelli pasta was not the best, but everything else we ate was good. And PLEASE, try the Chocolate cake with ice cream. It was amazing! ?Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!

I wanted to go here to check out the new resto but I did expect it to be this good! The atmosphere of the place was fabulous! The service is great. Let me tell you - the staff ordered our food right away and when waiting they saw I was really cold so guess what? They offered me blanket! I mean how cool was that? Talk about anticipating guest needs! This is also during peak lunch hour. To top that off, the food was absolutely delicious and healthy. I can't wait to go back to this place again. It is hard to find the entrance of this place so I had to call the restaurant.
I went with a friend who is not vegan, and he enjoyed his meal as much as I. Lisa, our server, was extraordinary! She told us her favorite dishes that were a real hit. Both the lasagna and the carbonara are stellar.
We went here for the Sunday brunch buffet and were not disappointed at all! Everything from the service to the decor and food was amazing. We were constantly served coffee/ tea or juice (all complementary) and the servers were very on top of clearing all the plates and replacing utensils! The selection of food was very delicious as well. If you are a fan of seafood, you will definitely enjoy this meal! Mussels, crab, shrimp and a wide selection of hot and cold foods as well as desserts. This was our first time and we will definitely be back again! It is worth paying the money for exceptional service, beautiful atmosphere and very fresh and delicious food!
Went with co-workers for lunch. There was no room to sit, so we took out. Posted right on the board were prices, including $3 for "fresh squeezed juices". Three types of juice were listed and I ordered one, along with my fish and chips. When the food arrived, I checked the bill. There was an item, "featured juice", with the price $4.00. When I asked about it, the cash person told me that this was 'the featured juice". When I told her that the board stated quite clearly that my juice sold for $3, she repeated that it was the "featured juice". When I told her that this was both unfair and illegal, she didn't offer to do anything, just repeated again that this was the "featured juice".Apparently, this place finds it more important to steal one dollar from a business customer than it does to provide a positive experience and to earn a prospective regular's respect and business.I can afford the extra dollar But the fish and chips were perfectly acceptable but not better than that, and were quite expensive. There are literally thousands of other places in the heart of downtown Toronto to eat lunch. I am neither going back nor will recommend this restaurant to anyone. I simply have no respect for any business, in any field, that doesn't have any respect for the money of its paying customers.
Little Fin is part of the Chase restaurant group (they are located next door) so you would expect to be served top quality seafood items. The quality - and quantity - of the food certainly didn't disappoint but you do pay rather dearly for what can be best described as upscale fast casual. You can choose from five sandwiches (if the lobster roll is anywhere as good as the one offered at The Chase Fish & Oyster it is a must order) or four "favourites" items. I went with the crispy haddock sandwich and it was very good. The fish was fresh, lightly battered and perfectly crispy. It also came with a choice of two sides - I went with the potato wedges and house salad. At $12 it wasn't cheap but it was far more than I needed to get me through to dinner. There is seating inside together with a number of tables outside on the sidewalk. Do spoil yourself at least once and give Little Fin a try.
