Many express dissatisfaction with service, citing issues from rude management to forced tipping practices, while others rave about the exceptional service and delicious food. Ambiance also elicits mixed reactions, with beautiful decor overshadowed by excessive noise levels. Highlights include standout dishes like margarita pizza and lamb, though some lament over-seasoning, such as overly salty gnocchi. Ultimately, while a segment of patrons vows never to return, a passionate contingent expresses eagerness to revisit, underscoring the restaurant's polarizing reputation within the culinary scene.
The service at Moretti's was exceptional and the food and drinks were amazing. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and is very versatile, making it suitable for business dinners, romantic dates, or casual gatherings with friends. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning in the future.
I have often fed to Moretti and come back because I love food there. But the last time something went wrong and somehow let us be disappointed. We just wanted to tap water to start and our server informed us that they did not “have” tap water. Of course we asked why? After a short conversation we said everything well. After that, it simply disappears and another server takes care of us. I understand she's trying to annoy, but this approach is wrong. Unfortunately, we decided to eat them and restaurant quickly without ordering a wine bottle and getting out. I don't think we're back. P.S. during this short time we noticed that servers brought us bottles of water without ordering them.
We celebrated my friend's 50th birthday at the restaurant before heading to the Blue Jays game. The servers were extremely attentive.
I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The servers were friendly and attentive, but I was disappointed that they only offered bottled water for $9. I ordered the Gnocchi, which is one of my favorite pasta dishes, but unfortunately, it was extremely salty. I couldn't eat more than a few bites. The pasta itself was delicious, but the sauce and truffle paste were overpowering. I left wishing I had made my own Gnocchi instead.
The food was mediocre and the service was super slow. When our food arrived it was cold and the portions are wayyy to big so I would recommend to share. I would not go back and there are much better restaurants in Toronto.
