Pinky's Ca Phe - Toronto
Pinky's Ca Phe
Description
A cozy, house‑turned restaurant offering inventive Vietnamese‑inspired small plates in a vibrant, intimate setting. Standout dishes — marrow beef, tiger’s milk ceviche and So Fly! rice — showcase creative flavors and attentive service, though portions can be modest and prices skew high. Drinks are crafted but often over‑iced, and dessert quality is uneven. Takeout is generous. Ideal for foodies, date nights and small celebratory gatherings who appreciate bold twists in a charming, hard‑to‑find neighborhood spot.

The food here is fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect—definitely worth every penny. I highly recommend trying the Marrow Beef; it’s simply incredible. The caramelized squid salad is also cooked to perfection and wonderfully balanced. The soft-shell crab rice sounds appealing and tastes good, but it ultimately ends up being just like standard roasted rice. There are so many dishes to explore, and I highly recommend this place. Just be mindful to visit during peak times, as they open later in the day and seating is limited, so it fills up quickly.
Great food in a very unique setting. The restaurant is quite cozy but service is very attentive. Food was phenomenal.. one of the best I have tried. Drinks are equally as good. I especially enjoyed the bone marrow. Would come back and bring some friends here for some good food.
Lovely small restaurant with unique decor and delicious smells throughout. It is a bit cramp and we sat on the outside long tables sharing space with others as the inside is a loud. We ordered two dishes, taro chips and fish dish and a fried soft crab dish. The taro chips dish while extremely delicious seems too expensive at its $15 price. Especially compared to the rice dish which was only a few dollars more but more filling. The rice dish was quite delicious too and the crab was so soft and easy to chew. Service is a bit slow (rice dish took a long time), perhaps it was busy, but they're very kind. Recommended, but probably worth getting the more filling dishes.
Cozy and pleasant atmosphere. The service is absolutely top tier. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Casa Paco is such a charming spot with a cozy, family-run feel — yet they offer an elevated tasting menu experience. Every dish we tried was exceptional, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Even something as simple as the tomato bread and stracciatella stood out — so fresh, addicting, and refreshing. The highlight for us was the bluefin tuna jamon (I believe that’s what it was) — it was so good we tried to order another at the end of the meal, but sadly it had already sold out. It’s been a few months since our visit, and I still find myself thinking about that dish — it was truly unforgettable. Everything on the menu impressed us, and I really appreciated that they don’t do multiple dinner seatings per night. It made the whole evening feel relaxed, intimate, and unrushed. We’re already looking forward to coming back to try their Paella Sunday one day — it sounds amazing! Highly recommend this place for celebrating a special occasion!
