Simple: the restaurant gives a lot of food. It’s a little expensive, with my lunch plate being $16, but there was salad, rice, chicken, beef, bread, and two whole pizza-sized pita breads on the side. The food was a little salty, but that’s minor, and I’d definitely come here again! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Paramount Fine Foods:
Don't go if you want authentic Middle Eastern. Poor service even though restaurant was not busy and all the food we had was extremely salty. We requested no sauce to be added to our salads, however our salads were full of sauce. View all feedback.
I had to eat something at the toronto jazz festival in yorkville and noticed that this place was in the opposite, so I visited him. very pleasant interior, but I was not too long. they had my food in 20 minutes. and that was delicious we had the Arnabeet-Cauliflower and Falafel-Appetizer, the spicy chicken mashrooha (what was like a pide), and the manakeesh with cheese and zataar. all very good fingerfoods. and they threw in two pita just to the fun what was beautiful. the spicy chicken was particularly delicious. not to complain. worth a return visit.
Every time I have walked in and asked for the out-special that was advertised outside the restaurant, it is never really available from any reason. are they just trying to get you in? I was at 11:45 in the week so it would be unlikely that it would have sold out.
We were a bit hesitant when we arrived at a nearly empty restaurant during lunchtime, but we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and bright it was. The food turned out to be delicious and authentic. The portions were generous, and we shared the hummus which was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The Pita bread was especially amazing and could easily make a meal on its own. The service was polite and efficient, though not overly warm, but we didn't require much from the staff.
We had a delicious meal and received excellent service from our server, Hussein. This restaurant has become our go-to spot whenever we visit Toronto. I'm looking forward to trying something different on our next visit!
Staff ignored us while waiting to be seated and we received very brusque and slow service. Attitude was not at all friendly or welcoming. We were finally seated at a table directly in the draft from the door and as it was freezing outside, we...requested a table out of the draft. This request was refused ‘there are only tables for four or more and the lunch rush will start soon’, we were told. After we ordered, our server split a table for four into 2 tables for 2 in a ‘low draft’ area of the restaurant and promptly seated a single person at one of the tables. Guess we weren’t important enough to warrant the same treatment a few minutes previously. Everything took a very long time even though the restaurant was almost empty. There were almost as many servers as customers but their focus seemed to be chatting among themselves. The first time in a very long time that we left no tip. Will never go back, which is a shame as the food is tasty and restaurant close to home. Other Paramount locations are much better.
