The food was quite good, and the service was excellent and welcoming. The heated terrace, with its high ceiling, felt very spacious. I really enjoyed the casual atmosphere, and it’s one of the few places nearby offering high-quality food that opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays. View all feedback.

What a hidden gem! The pictures do not do this place justice. The food was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of vegetarian options. We tried the Sabich Hummus, the Falafels, and the Parallel Salad. The flavors were complex and the vegetables were fresh. The addition of mint and lime in the salad and eggplant and garlic in the hummus were great touches. The bill for lunch for two people came out to $35 per person including tip. The server was also very friendly. The interior had a beautiful ambiance with bright skylights. The outdoor seating area was enclosed and well-maintained. It was a vibrant and relaxing spot to dine at. We would definitely come back again!
This was an entire experience that will stay in my head for a very long time! We had no reservation, and we were more than happy to sit at the bar. The service was fast and our server was very pleasant and helpful. My friend and I started with 4 Meze. We have the Walnut Lemon Pesto, Labaneh, Babaganoush and Beet Tahini with 2 Pitas. The first three were absolutely phenomenal. The Beet Tahini was also a victory, but we decided of course for favorites. The Pitas were padded and warm and delicious! Then we had the parallel salad. That was by far the ABSOLUTE BEST salad I've ever had. It was finger licking and plate licking childa delicious...complete perfection! And we finished with 4 falafels that were like an explosion of taste! We also took some spices and chocolate Babka for home. I would recommend this place 150% to anyone who is looking for a delicious and mundane surprise!
Very solid middle eastern restaurant with exceptional hummus, pitas, and lots of goodies to go (in their store). Bit out of the way but worth the drive. Not usually a salad guy (and most places highly overrate their salad) but this place’s “parallel salad” has to be one of the best salads in the city. Really well balanced and well seasoned with kale, green onions, lentils, feta, sweet potatoes, etc. They also have some of the best pitas and hummus around- you can purchase these to take home at their store inside (pitas both fresh and frozen) and stockpile these for late night munchies. Their shakshuka is quite good but I would say not quite as solid as Cafe Landwer- bit watery and bit oily but flavours are there. Phenomenal falafels- exactly how falafels should taste- too many bad falafels exist in the city, this place corrects that. I like how you can order off the main menu (with the exception of the mains) for their weekend brunch, and unlike many places- it’s not limited to just the brunch menu. It’s a bit out of the way but it’s right by Blood Brothers, Good Behaviour, Dark Horse, and some really nice little shops (and Famiglia on the weekdays). Well worth a visit
Israel's culinary influence can be found in Toronto's dining scene at Parallel, where they offer a top-notch selection of Middle Eastern dishes. Start your meal with one of their generously-sized and flavorful salads, followed by their must-try hummus - whether you opt for a traditional or more adventurous truffle version. The falafel here is also a standout, with a perfect crunch and generous amount of parsley. Be sure to end your meal with their delicious Babka, featuring a delightful mix of cinnamon and nuts. After enjoying this fantastic meal, be sure to savor a Turkish coffee or mint tea as you reflect on the amazing flavors that hit the spot.

Such a positive experience! Greeted by such kind wait staff who were very accommodating of my request for a quieter table further from the speakers. The heated patio is divine! Of note, it does have plastic walls so it is not truly open open for those being extra covid cautious. The four dips were amazing!! The walnut pesto is a must try. The knafeh and shakshuka were both delicious and cooked to perfection. The pita served with are so soft. The Turkish coffee comes with halva! The cookie was delish and the date molasses give a fun acid flavor. Highly recommend
My girlfriend brought me here today and I have to admit inside felt kind of like an industrial kitchen, however the vibe totally worked and was super unique! The food was very pretty to look at, alot of bright colors and flavors that popped in my mouth. Our server was knowledgeable and gave us excellent recommendations. I'm definitely bringing my husband back to try this place. What a hidden gem! And the price was really great, we shared two entries and two appetizers for around 80 bucks.

The best hummus you’ll ever taste, along with a variety of other delicious dishes on their menu. The pitas are incredibly fluffy, and the falafel is impressively large. They offer plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. A great selection of meals and drinks is also available.
A wonderful brunch on the terrace! The food was full of delightful aromas and tasted even better than it looked. We enjoyed the chicken shawarma hummus, falafel, and rich knafeh—every bite was a treat. The terrace and summer atmosphere were perfect. We’ll definitely be returning!

Israel lands in Toronto in a serious way. Parallel has one of the best collection of middle eastern food. To begin you must have one of the two salads. They are both massive and full of flavor. No meal is complete without the hummus and the selectionis perfect from the traditional to the adventurous with a truffle hummus. When it comes to falafel you have hit the jackpotwith one of the best falafel I have had in years. The crunch and the amount of parsley is off the hook. Finishing off the mealyou must try the Babka. The cinnamon and nuts a burst of wow. By the time you finish this meal you will need to enjoy aTurkish coffee or mint tea and talk how amazing this meal hit home.

We have recently moved to the neighborhood and found this place walking by. We were amazingly surprise with the variety of healthy food. Absolutely loved the place and the atmosphere. The food was delicious. They also had a special list which included a “Coconut Mango Pavovla” simply the best desert EVER!!!! Not joking. We loved it. FYI, Beers come in cans. Nice variety as well. Wanna try the mixed drinks next time. Will definitely come back : Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
An Exceptional Dining Experience! My cousin and I had a fantastic meal yesterday. I ordered the Arais, and my cousin had the Butter Miso Sesame Salmon – both were absolutely delicious! We were so impressed by how quickly our food arrived, less than 20 minutes, and everything was incredibly fresh and hot. It 's clear that this restaurant prioritizes quality, with most of their food and appetizers being made in-house weekly, if not daily. To top it all off, our server brought us complimentary pistachio Halva that was also made in-house, and it was truly chef 's kiss perfection. The service was excellent from start to finish, making for a truly memorable experience. We 'll definitely be back to this amazing place! 2 great meals and a grape juice came up to 80$ after tax and tip.
