Contribute FeedbackOmaw offers a trendy atmosphere and small yet intriguing menu. Some diners were disappointed with small portion sizes and lack of standout flavors. However, others enjoyed the shared plates concept and a variety of tasty options, such as the ricotta pasta and scallops. The restaurant is recommended for its stylish space and good service. While some felt the noise level was too high, others appreciated the casual experience. Prices were considered reasonable, and the location in a vibrant area adds to the appeal. Overall, Omaw provides a unique dining experience worth trying, especially for those who enjoy small plates and trendy settings.
Thumbs up to the team at Omaw. Service was great. Food was exceptional. With a small group of friends with divergent tastes I was concerned the shared plates would be a challenge. Fortunately, this was not the case. Each dish was thoroughly enjoyed and there was enough options if someone had an aversion to, say, seafood, they could easily enjoy another item. The ricotta pasta, scallops and kale salad stood out as favourites. Nice room in the heart of trendy Ossington to boot.
We had reservations for a business partner dinner and it was really good. The atmosphere had positive energy, the decor tasteful and the service was good. The food didn't disappoint - we tried almost everything on the menu, the highlights were the jambalaya which popped, the aged wagu, johnny cakes, the succulent scallops, the fantastic fried chicken and the sublime keylime pie. The price was right too!
Disappointing into finish of dishes - Better options on Ossington Ave and aroundMenu is very short yet looks interesting, but none of the dishes are very big or very elaborated. Not impressed and based on other options in the neighborhood, I will not go back.
This is one of many new small restaurants in the old Ossington area which are located between small but expensive boutiques and many of the diners were young professionals. It was suggested to 3 of us dining that we order at least 6 dishes from the limited menu and so we did. Had beef shortrib, duck, lamb, tuna, turkey & dumplings, & crab. Servings were small and much like tapas. They were quite tasty but the duck dish hardly had any duck at all I didn't even get to taste it. Anyway, we did enjoy the food and the ambience of the place. The bartender who was doing his job in front of customers was quite entertaining. Safe to say that if you love to drink this would be a good place to visit.
A recommendation from a local and definitely worth a visit - the restaurant is small so we made sure we booked and is in a very vibrant and cool part of the city. The food was delicious ranging from fried chicken through to dishes like aged wagyu both of which were excellent. The jambalaya which came deep fried in a ball was also fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place.
