Moretti is tucked away in an industrial quiet area of town. When you walk in the atmosphere is warm, inviting. Cool vibe. Very comfortable. The decor is modern, rustic feel. Very high ceilings. Lots of room.open and airy. Food was very good. Great place to get together with friends and family. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Moretti Caffe Toronto:
Food was decent. I found that both pastas ordered were lightly undercooked. The server was lacked a bit of attentiveness. Took them some time to come and check on us. However calamari was great! View all feedback.
Overall good. Pace of service could use improvement none really came around to check if we needed anything, followed up once food was delivered how it was... very surprised Slow to bring drinks. Food wasn't piping hot more warm. The group platters are offered but when asking about it, Lots Of confusion and then took 20+ min to get more info. At that point, we already decided on something as it was nearly 930pm. No one got us from the bar for our 9pm reservation. We were disappointed as we came before 8pm and sat at the bar but told the waitress and hostess if we can get a table sooner that would be preferred. At 9pm we had to go ask and no one came to us to seat us. There were 3 open tables and 2 never got filled till much later we could have been sitting there. Poor planning and organization overall. Drink prices for what you get are over priced completely.
Everyone who I dealt with especially the server treated us with the upmost respect and I felt like I was at home. The food was phenomenal. Great tasting and I left very satisfyingly full.
I've gone to Moretti for years have always made the hour drive down and enjoyed all of our celebrations here. We dined here before the Mariah Carey concert on Monday night and for the first time I was let down grossed out. The quality of the food has gone down immensely and as of Sept 2023 the prices have gone up. Now there is an $85/pp minimum spend?! What is that all about?? One of us ordered the chicken parmigiana with the side of gnocchi rose and the chicken was fully pink inside. It was thick as hell and we shined a flashlight in it and it was 100% without a doubt pink, as it didn't cook all the way through due to the thickness of the meat. We called our server over to show him and he took the plate away to go show the chef. What I saw next was disgusting... The chef alongside my server cut the chicken open and ATE IT !!!! I was so so so beyond turned off watching this. The server returns to the table and notifies us that the chef said it was cooked and it wasn't pink. I guess he failed to understand what may be cooked to one person is not cooked to another. So the chicken parm and gnocchi got taken away and never returned with or left the gnocchi so our friend can continue eating while investigating the chicken issue. It was truly an awful experience, I was very let down and I don't think I will be returning anytime soon. Turned off, grossed out, let down is the best way to summarize my experience here on Monday night.
I recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Pizzeria Moretti with a group of my closest girlfriends, and it was an unforgettable experience. This spacious upscale Italian restaurant is connected to the SoHo hotel, and from the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by the beautiful interior and the perfect vibes. The ambiance set the stage for an evening to remember. While their drink menu primarily features wine selections, we were pleased to find out that they could whip up other drinks upon request if they had the ingredients on hand. It was a small but appreciated touch that demonstrated their commitment to accommodating their guests.Although the food was moderately on the expensive side, the flavours and portions more than made up for it. The dishes were exceptional and left our taste buds dancing with delight. Please order the Truffle Mac Cheese, do yourself a service. The employees at Pizzeria Moretti were not only attentive but also friendly. Our server even surprised us with delightful alcohol coffee-based shots that added an extra layer of excitement to the celebration. As the night came to a close, they brought out a dessert item with a sparkling candle, which was a lovely way to end the evening and celebrate our friend's birthday. However, there was one incident that marred an otherwise perfect night. While my friend and I were making our way to the washroom, a guest at the hotel made us very uncomfortable by invading our personal boundaries. Unfortunately, it seemed like this unwanted guest was bothering other diners at the restaurant as well, which was unsettling.Additionally, when it was time to cash out, there was an issue with their debit machine, as most of us were having trouble using our credit cards. It turned out that another table had the same problem. However, the staff promptly resolved the issue by switching out the machines, and all of our cards ended up working.Despite these minor hiccups, our overall experience at Pizzeria Moretti was outstanding. The restaurant's exceptional food, beautiful ambiance, and friendly staff made it a night to remember. We look forward to returning for more special occasions and creating more wonderful memories.
My friend got raw chicken for the chicken parm. And it wasn't even taken off the bill. However, the dessert they brought out for my friends bday was unreal! Super cool platter.
