Restaurant competition on this stretch of The Danforth is stiff but Mong-Kut Thai can and does compete with great success. This is not the truly authentic Thai food that is to be found only in Thailand, but it comes close. We stopped by here for some supper, although the food was ok, I found that there is to much peppers and onions, I feel like you need an assortment of vegetables. There were just a few Broccoli in my dish. View all feedback.

Interior is comfortable, service is very good, lots of options on the menu. They have lunch specials also. However there is way too much sugar in the food. It ruins the flavours and is a disaster if you cannot stand that much sugar.

Went here with some friends and we ordered a plate each and a few for sharing. Price to food value is excellent, very good sized portions for the price. The standout was the panang. Just spicy enough, thick and wonderful! I was ready to lick the bowl!Peanut sauce for the satai skewers was a nice surprise, full of flavour and a nice addition to the meat that can stand alone. Shrimp was fantastic as was the whole fish in panang sauce. It's not a large establishment so seating is a decent size without being too much. A family run place with husband and wife making everything from scratch and fresh. Found out that many ingredients, specifically the curry and coconut milk, come straight from Thailand giving the dishes some really nice authentic flavour. Short wait for the food but that allowed for some pre food conversation.Definitely going to be a regular here!!
Tried Tofu special - (boring and lacking flavour) and spicy beef( spice was good but dish was still not interesting). Needs more effort, or a better cook.Soup was not warmed through.Sent it back.Maybe main menu is better prepared, but I will never know.
