Despite some mixed reviews on timing and service, the food quality and value were highlighted, with particular acclaim for the roti dishes. The restaurant is praised for its authentic Indian flavors and generous portion sizes, making it a great spot for affordable and satisfying meals, especially for fans of Indian cuisine. The cozy ambiance and accommodating staff add to the overall appeal, making Maurya a worthwhile dining destination in Toronto.
Nice and delicious food. I have visited the place several times and tasted various vegetarian dishes, all are good and properly cooked. Love this place!
The service at this restaurant was average and the waiter came off as a bit condescending. However, the food was delicious and I would recommend it to others.
If you're seeking affordable Indian cuisine, Maurya is the perfect spot. Their vegetarian dishes are delicious, though I personally don't favor their chicken dishes due to the inclusion of potatoes and other substitutes. I highly recommend trying the saag paneer here - great value for the price!
Food here was amazing!! We had a saag paneer roti, mattar paneer roti, channa roti and lamb tikka masala roti. They all were really good, but everyone liked the saag paneer roti the best most flavour. The roti was really nice and soft, and didn't get mushy even though we didn't eat it for a good 20 mins or so. <br/ <br/ The roti is a good size, so one is more than enough and filling for one person. <br/ <br/ We also had a pakora and samosa these were okay and overpriced.. so I wouldn't get them again. <br/ <br/ I'm giving this a 3.5 because of the appetizers and the service. We called ahead and they said it would be a 45 min wait but it was much shorter so it was harder to plan with our friends to meet up. They also were not seating customers because of the long weekend. Luckily there is a park right behind the restaurant, so we went there. Parking might be hard to find, but there is parking in the park area as well.
I've had the Mutter Paneer here on several occasions. Delicious flavourful curry stuffed inside roti, large portions and made to your level of spiciness. One of my roti favourites!
