Excellent pizza! Was visiting the city for 3 days and needed a recommendation for a great pizza (shout-out to Ashlenamusic for the recommendation . Also thank you to Cassandra (I think? for putting up with me and helping me pick exactly what I needed, bonus points for knowing about The Warning! The jalapenos were as hot as I needed and nothing about the pizza was over-done, a great balance. Be warned, this is basically a perfect grease-kinda style pizza, the kind you need after the bar. Was far more flavourful than I'm used to in this style. Also, is not really intended for dine-in, but it was a great place inside, like a real pizza place should be. I used to love Maker's Pizza. I grew up going here and always thought of it as one of my favorite local spots. The pizza is great, and it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. But a couple months ago, I asked the staff at the counter if they cross-contaminate with meat, and they told me yes. As someone who can’t eat anything that comes into contact with meat for religious reasons (I'm Muslim), that was really disappointing to hear. I was told that I could order a whole pizza and request special accommodations — which I appreciate — but sometimes you just want a single slice, not a whole pie. It’s not always practical or affordable to buy an entire pizza just to feel safe eating here. I’m sharing this because I know a lot of people have dietary restrictions or religious dietary needs, and it's something to be aware of. I still have a lot of love for this place, but it genuinely hurts not to be able to enjoy it like I used to. I hope one day they’ll consider making some changes that allow more people to eat here safely.
Best pizza in Canada hands down but you?ll have to visit Toronto for now to try it. This is the second location I?ve ordered from, it?s exciting to see them grow and increase in popularity because it?s truly deserving of the success and hype. I have ahard time getting anything other than the Franks Best pizza but have really enjoyed the Tropic Thunder, Dr. Pepperoni and theSiena Margherita pizzas in the past. The salad was the perfect fresh accompaniment to the pizza and not too overbearing, Iwould order it again! I enjoy the well thought out menu, order/pick up process and of course devouring the food itself. Theyhave their own fleet of delivery vehicles which are fun and well branded. Toronto should be proud to have such a fun andexciting establishment; if you haven?t tried Maker yet, what are you waiting for? ????
This pizza is really great. I have been here multiple times now and always know that the pizza will never disappoint. They have a few locations now, which is great. My go to from now on will likely be the Margherita. It is so good. I LOVE the way theymake this pizza. They nail the crust every time. Its airy, bubbly, and crispy. Unfortunately, I have fallen out with the Dr.Pepperoni flavour. I think it is just WAY too salty. The pepperoni is very strong in flavour but the sheer amount of it makes ita but overbearing. I might try another one of their pepperoni pies (the pep God or something) in the future to see if that isdifferent at all. Last I checked, they also only do takeout at this location since the pandemic happened. This is SOunfortunate as the pizza really does benefit from being eaten immediately and there are no good places to sit near the location?I usually just eat on a curb. Lastly, the pies are very pricey and there are no slices at this location. Really hope thischanges soon. I know one of their locations are doing slices, but not this one yet.
