3.5 STARS Close to the site of the Boston Tea Party, on August 7, 2016; I had my very own Boston Tea Party in East Ocean City Chinese Restaurant.
I have been going to East Ocean City for many years and because I loved the food and the service was always quick albeit a little impersonal.
We order the vegetarian Pho soups as a take away meal, my wife's family lives near the Queen East location. Hanoi 3's Pho ticks off all the boxes you want for delicious food. Portion size was very good, you could almost split one between two people if you aren't ravenous, the broth was tasty and can be beef or veggie, and you get all the fixings on the side so you can create your own perfect Pho. Queen-way East is a Pho desert so having this spot in Leslieville is key. If you like Pho or are interested in trying it I'd recommend Hanoi 3.
Grouper pho is the go to dish always. With a singtao beer and a mango shake for the kid, this is a staple restaurant of the 'hood. Couldn 't live without it.
Heard so many great things but this place is a big disappointment. Tried twice. White people seem to love it though. But don't go expecting authentic pho or tasty broth it's the blandest broth I've ever had. so terrible. And they charge more than real pho places. they don't even offer anything but straight meat in your pho (if you don't know what that means then you'll probably like it). and they only accept cash.
