Went for dinner on a Monday. It was really quiet in the restaurant when I walked in. I had the beef fajitas which were very good but service was even better. Friendly with a smile and some very good advice on the jalapeño relish. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lone Star Texas Grill:
When the Lone Star was on Front Street it had atmosphere, and was accessible. Now that it is on King, it's not accessible (especially if you are visual or physically handicapped), and has absolutely no atmposphere. I'm not sure if there has been a change in ownership, but the bar is a disgrace. Bottles are standing on cheap bricks, and it smells horrible. It was supposed to be Tex-Mex, but now they don't play country... View all feedback.

It was supposed to be Tex-Mex, but now they don't play country at all, and the food portions are hardly Texas Sized. I feel for the staff, they try and do a good job, but that patio is almost always closed, the portions are poor and the regular staff have all left for bigger and I'm guessing better venues. The place was once a 'must go', no its a 'definate no'. I give this place 3 months.
We were in the mood for beef and were not disappointed. The menu is extensive. It has non-beef choices as well. Though busy we were not ignored by our server.

Una combinación única para los amantes de las carnes y el deporte, el lugar es especial, está acondicionado con TVs enormes para ser vistas desde todos los ángulos posibles y diversos deportes en simultáneo. Las carnes espectaculares y el servicio de primera.
The downtown Toronto Texas Lone Star Grill has moved since the last time we were in Toronto. It used to be a huge and exciting venue right across from the convention centre, but now it is a small hole in the wall across from Roy Thompson Hall.I usually go to the Lone Star for razzle-dazzle and a big party atmosphere, but now that it is in the basement of a small building, it offers a quiet, intimate location for drinks, televised sports, and a feast of their famous fajitas. The food was as good as always, and our waitress made sure that we were having a good time. She knew the menu inside and out and could answer all of our questions about the food and made excellent drink recommendations.I had the bourbon ribs which melted off the bones. My wife had a steak Caesar that was delicious. My daughter had a cooked to perfection top sirloin. My friend had the chicken fajitas. All were excellent.
