Whenever I need a pickup, I go to this place for the best bowl supple. I am obsessed with her souk gai incredibly tasteful lao style tangie and spicy suppe with garlic, chilies, green wobbles and cilantro and her veggie fried rolls. the owner is also only the most beautiful, warmest, nurturing person. What Mike Walpole doesn't like about Lao:
I really want to like this place. It 's close by, they keep decent hours, and the staff are really wonderful and nice, but the food is always disappointing, not terrible, but not that enjoyable. Their pad thai is soggy, I know that this is supposed to be saucy but I just don 't like it. Maybe if the sauce was thicker? The fried rice looks the same as when I make it at home, and I 'm not good at making it. I 've tried... View all feedback.
This spot is crazy good. Fresh ingredients, everything was delicious. Staff was super friendly. It was super busy when we got there but the employees were still in a great mood. I will recommend to everyone I know.
Lao Lao Bar is a newly opened restaurant bar. Good atmosphere. Original Thai food. Good quality and identical to ThI Food. Our server was Andreas, he is new in his job. He is very cheerful, open and also takes tips from customers seriously. He also asks and wants to learn new things. I got the recommendation from Domi. She works once a week at the W Hotel at the bar in the lobby area. She is a very likeable person with Thai and Australian roots. She also speaks Thai.
My boyfriend and I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and were greeted by a wonderful staff member. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Lits, who was very welcoming. Now, onto the food. I am a huge fan of Laotian cuisine, and I must say, this restaurant did not disappoint. The flavors were spot on, with the perfect balance of salt and spice. The sticky rice was cooked perfectly, the fried chicken was juicy and full of flavor, and the Laotian sausage was the best I have ever had. The curry was mouthwatering, and the Thai tea was a refreshing complement to the savory dishes. The sauces that accompanied the meal were fantastic, especially the Jeow Som and Jeow Bong. I would return just for the traditional sauces alone. Thank you for the excellent service, warm hospitality, and the delicious and authentic Laotian dishes. We will definitely be returning and will recommend this restaurant to all our friends and family.
We dined at a charming small restaurant that is family owned. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered. My personal favorite was the Kua Lon, which is vermicelli noodles with chicken. We opted for a spicy version, and it did not disappoint. The Nam Kao was a new experience for me. Despite not typically enjoying coconut, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it complemented the savory flavors. The dish had a strong coconut taste, but it was still delicious. Lastly, we had the chicken fried rice, which was essentially fried chicken served on a bed of fried rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had a delicious flavor.
What a great restaurant the service was friendly. The food was made fresh to order and the proportions where generous. This was probably some of the best fried chicken and Fried rice I've ever had. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
