Kabul Express - Toronto
Kabul Express
Description
Kabul Express offers average quality Pakistani and Afghan food with generous portions at modest prices. The restaurant has a clean and authentic ambiance, with friendly service. Despite some complaints about long wait times, the delicious biryani, kebabs, butter chicken, and other dishes keep customers coming back. The vegetarian options are limited, but the paneer is highly recommended. The lentil soup, kebabs, and naan are particularly flavorful, and special requests are accommodated. Overall, Kabul Express is a solid choice for affordable, tasty South Asian cuisine in the heart of downtown Toronto, even if it's not exactly Afghan.

Kabul Express offers a reasonable desi dining experience in the heart of Toronto. The food is flavourful and portions are generous. Their chapli kebabs and karahi are particularly well-prepared — juicy, aromatic, and served hot. The rice and naan are fresh and complement the mains well. The ambiance is simple and casual, suitable for families or quick meals with friends. Service is decent, although during busy hours, there might be a slight wait. Staff are polite and accommodating. Pricing is fair for the quality and portion sizes. One suggestion would be to improve the cleanliness in the dining area during peak times, and maybe add some light music or decor to elevate the atmosphere. Overall, a satisfying place if you’re craving authentic Afghan and Pakistani cuisine in the city. We ordered lamb shank and chicken karahi and both dishes amazed us. I personally think bone-in chicken karahi (chicken leg/thigh) tastes better than boneless (chicken breast). Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I really enjoyed the delicious meal at Kabul Express. The lentil soup that came with the Waziri Gold combo was comforting and tasty, and the kebabs with yogurt dip were flavorful. The guava juice was refreshing and the naan was delicious and properly wrapped to keep it warm. I appreciated that Kabul Express accommodated special requests at the time of ordering. Overall, the Waziri Gold combo and accompanying items were a gold star order. Thanks to Kabul Express and the delivery driver for a job well done.

Food was tasty. Salad nice and fresh. Love the lentil soup. Great to be able to get healthy food late night and they allow instructions when ordering too. Only complaint is not enough foil was used to warp the naans which means they lost some of the heat because they they were exposed and couldnt be fully closed. Other than this, good job. Thanks Kabul Express!
