Kabul Express offers average quality Pakistani and Afghan food with generous portions at modest prices. The restaurant has a clean and authentic ambiance, with friendly service. Despite some complaints about long wait times, the delicious biryani, kebabs, butter chicken, and other dishes keep customers coming back. The vegetarian options are limited, but the paneer is highly recommended. The lentil soup, kebabs, and naan are particularly flavorful, and special requests are accommodated. Overall, Kabul Express is a solid choice for affordable, tasty South Asian cuisine in the heart of downtown Toronto, even if it's not exactly Afghan.

Was Anonym at Kabul Express a mag?
A simple low-key restaurant where you order at the counter and pay, seat yourself, and then get your food at the counter when they call you up. The food was tasty, but much of it was spicy - note, I have a very low spice tolerance so do not hold that against any restaurant. I had the lamb chops with rice and just told them as mild as possible and it was good, but I did not add the red sauce they served with it as it... View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Kabul Express:
Lot of delay in prepping order and too much attitude and terrible customer service and don't pick up phone calls in case to place orders then what's use of having restaurant service and business card View all feedback.

Amazing Food, Fresh BBQ, big portions, always the best preparation and great sides.

Go for the nahary and the chicken roast (the one they roast in clarified butter). The keema is also good. Butter chicken is so so. Naans are good though. And it's very decently priced. Repeat visit recommended

Really good food. Good price. Loved the tandoori rice. Only thing I recommend is to add a bit of music to lift up the mood. It sure will make people feel at ease.

Kabul Express offers a reasonable desi dining experience in the heart of Toronto. The food is flavourful and portions are generous. Their chapli kebabs and karahi are particularly well-prepared — juicy, aromatic, and served hot. The rice and naan are fresh and complement the mains well. The ambiance is simple and casual, suitable for families or quick meals with friends. Service is decent, although during busy hours, there might be a slight wait. Staff are polite and accommodating. Pricing is fair for the quality and portion sizes. One suggestion would be to improve the cleanliness in the dining area during peak times, and maybe add some light music or decor to elevate the atmosphere. Overall, a satisfying place if you’re craving authentic Afghan and Pakistani cuisine in the city. We ordered lamb shank and chicken karahi and both dishes amazed us. I personally think bone-in chicken karahi (chicken leg/thigh) tastes better than boneless (chicken breast). Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
