I have been to Hugh's Room many times over the years to see and hear the greats of the folk ,roots genre. There are no bad seats and the sound is excellent. There is a catch though . To get a reservation for a table you must eat a meal. The food is pricey but the quality of the food does not reflect the price. You will also wait a while for the food to arrive . My solution to the food issue is to order the cheese pla... View all feedback.

Let's just say Hugh's Roim is a listening room. Amazing performers...always Great music. Tickets are reasonable. The food prices keep getting hiked for ok food. Nothing special. Just expensive. A new menu was introduced with higher prices. Again...$20 plus entree's should be great...not just ok. Washrooms suck. Go early. But like I said...you go for the music...not the food. Wait staff are friendly. View all feedback.
We saw Betty and the Bobs, excellent musicians in this very nice space at a really reasonable cost. Next time I'm in Toronto, I'll be back.

We have been in Hugh's Room first time, and loved it. It is a nice club that accommodates music groups, and music lovers. They serve dinner before the performance. Quality of the food excellent. The ambiance in the club is fine.
Hugh's Room is a hidden gem in Toronto that is a must-visit for any live music lover. The restaurant has recently updated their menu and the servers are always welcoming and attentive. It is easy to make reservations online and the lineup of performers is top-notch. Even if you are unfamiliar with the artists playing on a particular night, you can rest assured that they will be world-class musicians.
The music at this restaurant is a definite highlight, with great acts coming and going. However, the food and service have consistently been poor every time we have visited. Additionally, the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible, with a minimum of 6 steps required to enter the building and more steps to access the seating area. The food is average and service is slow, with long waits for attention from the servers. Despite trying to get their attention, we had to go to the bar to get a drink and were told to return to our table and wait for service to place a food order. We have not returned to this restaurant since, regardless of the quality of the music acts.
