They were very accommodating on... read more Planned both my fiance and close friends birthday. Saw some good reviews about the place and decided to make reservations for 8. They were very accommodating on the phone. On the day of, the hostess/server (an older lady with grey/dark hair) pointed to the table we had reserved (Did not look happy at all). Moments after we sat down she asked us what we wanted to drink before we had any time to review the menu. A couple of us responded with 'water for now and we may need a moment to look over the menu' and in mid sentence she walks away to serve another table. We all were in shocked and puzzled and found it extremely rude. It put the entire table at a awkward silence with confused looks on our faces. However, she did come back and to place our drink orders, and delivered it relatively quick. When it came time to order our food, she was not very attentive for about 15-20 minutes. At this point we were all hungry without any orders. I wave her down after i saw her place a few menu's down at another table (it was not very busy), and told her we are ready to place our food orders. She then turns around and responds in a very aggressive and unprecedented way by saying 'Can you let me finish serving the other customers first if you don't mind?'. As you can imagine, my patience was weighing thin and if it wasn't because of a celebration I would have said something in return but instead I had my tongue as she attempts to embarrass us. We did not deserve this type of service the moment we stepped in, our group did absolutely nothing to begin with. We were not a loud group, we dressed for a night out, we look like any other customer. In summary, the rest of the night was not pleasant at ALL. Her negative attitude continued to target us and it certainly reflected in her tips.Meanwhile on the food review - I ordered the Sausage Pizza which was very well cooked and generous on the toppings. The food was hot, portions were decent. Overall good was pretty good.I recommend if you are booking any type of large event, do NOT book with Hey Lucy at Carlton. If you do not mind unacceptable service and only searching for some good pizza this is the place.
