Always a wonderful experience. The food is fantastic, with premium beers on tap, a great wine list, and a huge single malt selection (over 150 bottles to choose from). Service is always fantastic! Couldn't have enjoyed it more. I'm happy to call this Gem my local. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Henry Viii Ale House:
As soon as we walked in, we saw the servers sitting at the bar, they were chatting and laughing. It looked like they were the patrons; and then both of them looked over at us and said "just sit wherever you want." That was the...More View all feedback.
The food is fantastic, with a wide selection of single malt whiskey and beer options. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Great place!
Definitely a 5-star experience! The food and drinks are amazing, and they even have live music sometimes. What's not to love?
The decor of this restaurant is terrible, but if you can look past the outdated and run-down surroundings, you will discover well-prepared food and attentive, quick service. The bison burger is exceptionally juicy, and the wings and fish and chips are cooked perfectly. The side dishes are impressive, with seasoned fries and salads topped with a delicious dressing and candied cashews.
We've wanted to try the Brunch here for a while now. In the past, we'd go on a Sunday but for one reason or another, the brunch menu wasn't available. I'm glad to say that today we broke the curse!<br/ I had an Old Speckled Hen, and the Wife had a Ceasar (spicy). Both were good. The OSH was flavourful and robust, her Ceasar was well balanced and had the right amount of heat.<br/ For brunch I ordered Henry's Breakfast (3 eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, a grilled tomato and toast) with my eggs scrambled, and the Wife got Pancakes with Blueberry compot, Maple Syrup, bacon, Vanilla Whipped Cream and fruit. All I can say is Yummy! The food was really good don't forget about the bottemless cups of coffeee too! It's step up from other breakfasty chains (some of which I've reviewed), yet in the same price range, and with the added bonus of booze! All items were <br/ well cooked, and had the right amount of grease for a Sunday morning. <br/ King Henry's selection of alcohol is long and very good. I will review it at some point, but if you're feeling like a good breakfast/brunch on a weekend, with seemingly endless whiskey and beer options, go west friends! <br/
Excellent food warm quinoa salad, awesome curry and THE BEST CIDER on tap!! We go at least twice a month!
