Havana Style Cafe & Gallery - Toronto

Finally ended up trying this restaurant which happens to be a few blocks away from my house. The atmosphere is amazing and the sandwiches are fantastic. I got the steak sandwich and my dad got the chicken. We had half of each and both were delicious. I also found out that on Fridays and Saturdays they have a night club in the back and I will definitely check it out. I will also come back to try different items on the menu.

Iris is very friedly and took my reservation. We ordered meat croquettes, meat empanadas, tostones (fried green plaintain) and cubanos, the original Cuban sandwiches (created in Tampa by the cigar makets in 1860). A Cuban espresso made of Cubita coffee was perfect. We will come back for Spanish paella, ropa vieja (shredded meat) and congri ( black beans with rice).

We ordered 2 different sandwiches off the menu and they were both amazing. Fries weren't the best but the mojitos made up for it. Price and service were both good.

Had a very enjoyable evening - ropa vieja, roast pork, salad and poutine. And don't forget those killer mojitos. Lovely, rustic decor with beautiful, unique artwork and accents. Would highly recommend. Dancing and music on the weekends if enough people. Service is a bit slow but be patient.
