Located in an unassuming garage that has been transformed into a vintage 1940s Tokyo-inspired restaurant, it may not be the ideal spot for a first date but is perfect for a third date. With a menu featuring around 12 items, we tried the salmon, butter enoki, and miso steak, all of which we enjoyed. The butter in the enoki dish was a bit overpowering, but not overly indulgent, leaving room for dessert like ice cream. The prices were reasonable by Toronto standards, and our meal for two with drinks and wine came to about $100 including tax and service, with pleasant service to top it off.

I would come here all the time when I lived in Toronto and I always this place to my friends who come to Toronto. The food is unreal !! Order the katsu chicken bun... and a couple other things as the dishes are small. You will want to try the whole menu. Honestly 100% go and wait for a table in here. It can be full/busy but worth the wait !!! It's small and inexpensive, but it's where I would tell everyone to go! And get some sake to drink!

Despite its sketchy and dirty appearance, it adds to the overall ambiance of the place. The food here is amazing and the presentation is top-notch. Keep in mind that you can't make reservations, so make sure to arrive early at 5:45 as it's a small and popular spot that opens at 6.
