The Gladstone is a vibrant Art and Culture hub in Toronto, with a range of activities and events to offer. While the breakfast was functional, the food quality is inconsistent - from a cold bacon and egg plate to an overpriced omelet. Drag Brunch and Thai Street Food catering did not meet expectations, with lackluster presentations and disappointingly bland flavors. Despite this, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is lively and energizing. The hotel provides a unique experience, perfect for art enthusiasts and those seeking a fun atmosphere. Overall, The Gladstone offers a mixed bag but promises an entertaining stay.
Toronto's #1 Artist clubhouse hangout spot! With 3 awesome Food Cocktail venues in the beautiful historical Hotel building. You name it, they have it: from Burlesque to Karaoke, Video Dance Parties to Music Bingo to Art Gallery Opening Parties; The Gladstone is an Arts and Culture Carnival and everyone's invited. It's a one-spot-shop for Fun in the West End! <3
The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I really enjoyed the venue and would recommend it to anyone for weddings or other events.
Always noisy. never boring. the entire building has a festive and energizing quality to it, and for this i will continue to stay here when i'm in town. also the old creeky windows in the rooms will make you think you're in a small town in the american mid-west somewhere. i can't explain. it's just very inspiring.
Really awesome setting but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I sat down with friends and ordered a coffee from the waitress. She never brought it.
A gf and I came here for late night tea and food. We ordered root veggie chips and dip and the jerk chicken wings. Both were gross and we didn’t finish them. The chips and dip seemed to be a mystery thick substance spread over a plate, with chips stuck in it vertically, which was a bit dried out because I suppose of the wait for the jerk chicken wings to be ready. The wings were burnt. Service was inattentive. We didn’t feel like complaining because it was late at night and we just wanted food and to relax. This place is good for a quiet retreat from queen street but this experience will be enough to keep me away for a while.
