The Gladstone is a vibrant Art and Culture hub in Toronto, with a range of activities and events to offer. While the breakfast was functional, the food quality is inconsistent - from a cold bacon and egg plate to an overpriced omelet. Drag Brunch and Thai Street Food catering did not meet expectations, with lackluster presentations and disappointingly bland flavors. Despite this, the staff is friendly, and the ambiance is lively and energizing. The hotel provides a unique experience, perfect for art enthusiasts and those seeking a fun atmosphere. Overall, The Gladstone offers a mixed bag but promises an entertaining stay.
We've been for the current Chef in Residence (Suzanne Barr) twice now and loved it. The dishes are creative and so yummy I ate goat and loved it! Who knew!! I also have to call out how wonderful the Harvest Wednesday dinners are. The vibe at the Gladstone is always lovely too a great west end place to visit!
The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I really enjoyed the venue and would recommend it to anyone for weddings or other events.
The Gladstone is a renowned LGBTQ+ establishment that is worth the $20 cab ride from Cabbagetown. This venue is a testament to the thriving Queer community beyond Yonge Street.
Really awesome setting but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I sat down with friends and ordered a coffee from the waitress. She never brought it.
A gf and I came here for late night tea and food. We ordered root veggie chips and dip and the jerk chicken wings. Both were gross and we didn’t finish them. The chips and dip seemed to be a mystery thick substance spread over a plate, with chips stuck in it vertically, which was a bit dried out because I suppose of the wait for the jerk chicken wings to be ready. The wings were burnt. Service was inattentive. We didn’t feel like complaining because it was late at night and we just wanted food and to relax. This place is good for a quiet retreat from queen street but this experience will be enough to keep me away for a while.
