The special Lanzhou noodles with bark and the boiled chicken with chili sauce were both delicious and definitely had a spicy kick to them. I have a high tolerance for spice and was very satisfied with the level of heat. I even asked for extra chili sauce because it was so tasty. They also highly recommend trying the pineapple while you're there! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gb Hand-pulled Noodles:
We had one of the worst hand-pulled noodle experiences at this restaurant. The noodles did not taste fresh, it seemed like they had been made in advance and then reheated, as they were not chewy or soft at all. They were very dry and broken. We did not finish our meal because of how bad the noodles were. The broth was flavorful, but we were disappointed that it arrived cold. The service was also poor, as the lady who... The special beef noodles were amazing. We both had the small, which was a LOT on its own, and loved it. Its umami and spicy and delicious. I wish it had more toppings but it was already amazing Also got the spicy cucumber and the bok choy. The cucumber wasnt spicy really, it was just gochujang, but still delicious. Also the price is decent. We paid 18 each for two noodles, cucumbers and bok choy. The noodles were $12ish.
4/5 I had the weekend special braised tendon noodles. The broth was tasty and the noodles had good texture. The wait time was quite long even though the restaurant was empty but otherwise it was a nice lunch!
There are many places in Toronto where you can find hand-pulled noodles, so choosing one can be a bit daunting. However, we ended up at a cozy diner-style restaurant with generous portions and delicious flavors. Despite concerns about its casual atmosphere, the food exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was clean but a bit chilly inside, likely due to the cold weather outside. Although I wished I could take off my coat, most diners kept theirs on. Despite this inconvenience, the food was fantastic. I ordered the "Noodles with homemade pork sauce" which came with soup. While tradition dictates adding the soup to the dish, I preferred to keep it separate. My friend, on the other hand, mixed hers and loved it. The wide noodles, although not hand-pulled that night, were springy and chewy, absorbing the flavorful sauce. The bok choy and shredded carrots were perfectly cooked and added a nice crunch. My girlfriend ordered the Special Lanzhou Beef Noodles, which was more of a soup. She wished for more control over the chili oil and more vegetables. Overall, the dishes were good, but I will definitely return for the pork sauce noodles next time. The waiter was friendly and energetic, despite the limited space to move around. The restaurant's setup was unique with limited seating, but they made the most of the space. I appreciate their diligence in checking everyone's COVID vaccine status. I can't wait to come back for those amazing noodles!
The noodles at this restaurant are fantastic - so tasty and the portions are huge! I absolutely love this place. My only minor complaint is that I wish they served drinks in real glasses instead of plastic cups.
The noodles at this restaurant are always delicious. Even after sitting in a takeout container for a while, they still taste great when reheated at home. My go-to dish is the noodles with homemade pork sauce. Be sure to mix it well before digging in. It also reheats nicely in the microwave for the next day. The portion size is generous, I was able to enjoy two lunches from one order.
