Go when you have the time to linger over beautiful tastes and spices - from appetizers to mains, yummy margaritas and appreciate the foods prepared for you with love, care and time. For those who can appreciate the real thing, go for it!!! Great for meat eaters and vegetarians.

My wife and I came with friends and ordered the guacamole and chips as a starter, and then each shared an El Sol platter for two. Service was quick and friendly. The guacamole was among the best I have tasted, even better than the one I make at home which always gets raves from friends and family. The homemade salsa was bursting with flavor. The dishes that made up the platter, an assortment of hard and soft tacos were astoundingly tasty and loaded with fresh vegetables and delicious meat that was bursting with flavor, the shells (like everything else) obviously home-made. The atmosphere is quirky and casual and the restaurant had an eclectic crowd. I really can't say enough about the quality of the food, everyone at the table agreed that this wasn't only the best Mexican food we had ever had but one of the most delicious and satisfying meals we had ever eaten, period. The homemade hot sauce was astounding, with whole peppers, garlic and onions in a delicious lemony/vinegar acidic base... I couldn't get enough. I will be back, this is one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of eating in, in terms of authenticity and flavor of the food. The quirky atmosphere and friendly service was a plus, and it was great to be able to impress my friends with a recommendation that exceeded their expectations. Very highly recommended.

It was three... read more I woke up at the Michael Garron Hospital for a very sick family member. I didn't really eat in 4 days, and then literally stumbled over this place. It was three in the afternoon. The place was empty with only peaceful piano...music. Then the food came. I thought I had arrived in heaven! I often travel in Mexico, and it was like it was back on vacation, even for an hour! It was simply perfect, “Mexicon mother special visitors homecooking” freshness and taste” and so a huge portion that I had enough to take home for a second meal. Great for vegetarians. Fast internet and they didn't make me think I'd stay in place for an hour. Great. Back to ASAP!
