Went for Brunch and loved it. Small space and they are pushing you to finish and get next table in BUT it's yummy and the service is great otherwise. Love organic and local and will return whenever I can. View all feedback.

First, I have to admit that I am not a vegan. When we got to the restaurant, I was really excited about trying the food based on the reviews I had read. I am happy to eat vegan food but imitation is never is as good as the orignal. If I am going to have an egg, I want a real egg!
Loved this place- the vegan omelette was so amazing! It's such a small space, but the food is really amazing. Definitely will be back soon!

My wife and I visited on Wednesday. The restaurant currently does not offer sit-down service through the week(except Thurs. and Fri. dinners)...and of course their near-famous brunch on weekends. That was okay with us...and expected. Customers are welcome to purchase food from the take-away fridge and seat themselves...there is water and utensils provided on a table. We ended up buying the following from the fridge...a Moroccan chick pea/sweet potato dish, Portobello mushroom and lentil, hummus and several cookies. Everything I have ever purchased from this restaurant has been amazing!
Though a restaurant with only partial hours of opening, and not a great physical atmosphere, Public Kitchen offers some of the very best vegan meals in Toronto. Open for dinner Thursday and Fridays only, together with weekend brunch, offering probably the very best vegan brunch in Toronto
