We go to Downsview restaurant pretty regularly and we take out fries and gravy. The fries are beefeater fries (chunky) and the gravy is delicious. A large order is about $4 or so. We top them with fresh cut onions, ketchup and black pepper. Very tasty and filling. Their toasted Western sandwich is good, too. Owners are friendly and accept phone orders, once they know you. This resto was built in 1952 and I don't think it has changed since. Turkey on high bread with graveyard. Hot hamburger and the fish and chips on Friday. Reminds me of small town ontario dinner. View all feedback.

We go to Downsview restaurant pretty regularly and we take out fries and gravy. The fries are beefeater fries (chunky) and the gravy is delicious. A large order is about $4 or so. We top them with fresh cut onions, ketchup and black pepper. Very...tasty and filling. Their toasted Western sandwich is good, too. Owners are friendly and accept phone orders, once they know you. Good wholesome food! Conveniently located right on Keele Street, just north of Wilson, on the east side. Worth a visit.
In this restaurant after the best breakfast around downsview park. we were not disappointed. we were treated with large portions for good home cooking. beautiful thick slices of speck, great breakfast sausage and egg cooked to perfection. we saw how my sons of French toast. prepared from scratch and it was delicious. the service was very friendly. if they are looking for fantasy with the lack of quality of the chain this is not their place. we visited a hockey tournament and went back the next morning and had the same home cooked eating and great service. we are going back when we are in the opposite
Over 60 years and count. they can be a little plucked and move a bit slow, but this restaurant is a complete jewel. this place is a dinosaur and goes out. these 2 moved here from Greece many years ago...and have made a living, contributed to the community and go a delicious flawless diner. everything is past days, there are fun and quirky dinge on the menu. at each table there are jukeboxes that serve chalk and milk. it won't be here much longer, so go and say hello. please follow them joannasable on instagram for more eating and traveling.
The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The owners are very friendly, and I had a nice chat with the lady. They still serve fries and milkshakes. The restaurant is small and cozy. I will definitely be coming back.
I'm not sure where the image displayed came from, but it does not represent Downsview Restaurant accurately. The owners, an older couple, are both charming, and the retro charm of the banquettes and jukeboxes at the tables provide a nostalgic ambiance. It feels like a trip down memory lane, and it's a great spot for an early breakfast as they open at 6am.
